idk how much muscle u have if u cant run a few flights of stairs or run 6 min miles
u hardly have any advantage. what is all the muscle for if u cant use it after 30 seconds of exertion then being fatigued and keeling over?
if u wanna be prepared be able to run 5 miles in 30 mins. no muscle dummy could compete with u in a altercation

It's not about fatigue or exertion for most. Running hurts my legs more than lifting. I do some sprints but any time I try distance running I stop way before my heart or breath says I'm ready to stop, and it's because of leg/knee pain.

How many people on misc do you think are training to compete in 10+ minute mma or street fights? I could be wrong but I'd guess most people here just want to stay in shape, look good, and maintain/increase their functional strength.

Running fast is actually what's useless unless you're a jogger running from the cops.
Even lifting more grocery from one trip from the car has more utility than being able to run fast. You know the last time I needed to run for an hour straight that wasn't about running for an hour straight? Never as an adult. Not once has there been a situation I even needed to run for 30 minutes straight as an adult for that matter.
