To be fair, it's been so hot/humid I think it's needed for the safety of the players.

it cracks me up there is one angry bald man running in the middle of the field and he's supposed to call everything accurately.

love how soccer is ONLY popular because its during business-hours in the US and social afterwork thing to do. some of these games have been great but overall many aren't. people get really into it like its the NFL but it'll be forgotten soon enough.

AHA! its all based on the host nations' time-zone that determines when it will be seen. I imagine australia hosting there would be no US interest at all. NOT to mention the US are playing terribly the US vs Belgium.

AI answer:

FIFA determines World Cup time zones by selecting host cities within the geographic borders of the appointed host nation(s). To maximize the global television audience and optimize player welfare, FIFA collaborates with broadcasters to schedule matches around peak viewing times while staggering games across the host's varying local time zones

holy fuck this sport is rigged rofl

Argentina way down at the Egypt goal and two players got tangled up, Egypt steals ball runs full court and scores a goal

then VAR comes in says nah they got tangled up no goal

in a sport where there's so little scoring you cant have shit like that

this is a genuinely awful sport

it seems like a good strategy would be to get the ball into the box then kick it into an opponents hand = automatic PK = pretty much auto goal

broken sport
