Are you supposed to not feel much when smoking vs edibles ?

I Started using edibles to help calm me down when I’m in crowded public places (I’ve been nearly jumped before and had a gun pulled on me) and for some lingering pain after I got my facial surgery because I didn’t want to refill my Oxy script

I smoked once or twice in Highschool/middle school but never got into it because my thing for euphoria has always been caffeine and stimulants (im hella ADHD so addy is legal for me)

I picked up some wedding cake ground herb and some hemp rolls and lit up yesterday

I liked it but it took me awhile to realize it wasn’t affecting me as hard and that’s why I couldn’t tell if I was even high or not until it peaked and I nostalgia binged on YT while eating fruity Dyno bytes

I wanted to smoke so I could control the high more and sober up much quicker than edibles but dunno it didn’t hit like I was expecting ie no body high

Is smoking supposed to feel this mild ? If so it’s crazy weed was criminalized so long

I only do it occasionally now like once every 1-3 months or so which is why I’m surprised

If i was getting baked from edibles every weekend then I wouldn’t be surprised smoking doesn’t do much for me

Edibles will really fuck you up compared to smoking, takes a lot longer for edibles to hit the system.

i've been popping an eddie then smoking right after

the eddie will slow release while the smoke hits faster

The stuff I’m talking about happened much earlier in transition but because of the political climate I’m terrified of being jumped or ran up on again if the rare person does clock me 😔 so much so I started daily carrying again 🫩
