Nah, with the right tune set up it's not happening - and you're getting mogged on mileage too.

That's the whole point. You can run a few relatively inexpensive upgrades and suddenly you're not. Just wind up offending some phaggots with noise pollution which isn't my problem because it doesn't offend me.

2026 mustang 0 to 60 time:

GT (5.0L V8): ~3.9 to 4.3 seconds with the 10-speed automatic, and ~4.8 seconds for the manual.

The 2026 Tesla Model S 0 to 60 mph time depends on the trim you choose. The base dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) model achieves 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds [1]. The high-performance tri-motor Plaid trim hits 0 to 60 mph in a blistering 1.99 seconds.

you think you're going to turn a couple wrenches and come up with some magic cheap thing to shave a full second off your 0 to 60 time? and you think Ford didn't think of that fix?

you are coping so hard right now trying to justify your noisy bullshit

only a low IQ mustang driver would think this

if you took a 90s mustang , sure you could make some progress. or a modern mustang and put a turbo on the v8, sure. but 90s mustangs are slow as fuck and a turbo is expensive.

now you're trying to tell me a supercharge is inexpensive? even if you can do it yourself (I doubt you personally can), the parts alone are thousands.

if there was a cheap way to get more horsepower/torque out of your engine Ford would have done it already.

Relatively. My idea of inexpensive is clearly different to yours.

Ford are already putting out track ready Mustangs with significant race ready upgrades that's why the GTD exists. But for someone not wanting to drop $300k+ on a street legal race car you can still build something quick for far less.

Legislation will prevent a lot of what car manufacturers can actually achieve (emissions, safety, driver ability to handle, practicality in some situation etc)

How? You can make some progress on a slow 90s Mustang, or more on a modern Mustang. Which is what I'm in the process of, making more progress with the modern article.

Doesn't prove shit beyond you being a cheerleader for Mario and the electric shopping cart crew.

the arguments against tesla are getting worse and worse with time:

like mechanical sounds vs don't or don't care either way

do think ev is the future....for those that can't plug in they'll have the option of a on-board generator similar to the civic "hybrid".

at the point we are closing in on 400+ miles range, 0-60 in under 3-4 seconds and less mechanical parts to service/replace.

i imagine people had similar feelings about the switch over from carburetors to fuel injection computer "gizmos"

you think you can tinker with a couple cheap parts and make a modern mustang a second faster on 0-60 time. absolutely hilarious

it'll take some time still, the tech isn't there just yet.

they make sense for a second car just to drive around the city, far better gas mileage there due to regenerative braking and whatnot.

but there are too many other issues for most people to want it as a primary vehicle

why spend for a Shelby when you can just get a couple cheap parts make some quick mods to the base model and it will be faster than a Tesla?

A base model is still a 5.0. A roushe kit is around 10k then add install by a ford dealer so you get the 3yr/36k warranty. You’ll be pushing high 700hp on 93

Phase 2 will be above 800hp….

Wasn’t this thread about model 3 performance? Doesn’t Maria drive a model 3? You talk about being disingenuous and then start citing totally different cars.

Idk about you, but I feel sorry for guys like Maria who clearly didnt have an alpha dad or male growing up to role model things like cars etc. Maria seems so fkn clueless on so much shit and he is such a fkn loner that no one is going to set him straight, he actually needs some sense beat into him dead srs.

Anyway, here's mostly modded ICE cars with times recorded by actual real people using accurate equipment (Dragy FTW). There are Teslas in there if you want to search far down in the rankings. There are Mustangs and everything else as well.

The 0 to 60 mph time for the Tesla Model 3 varies by trim. The top-tier Performance trim achieves it in just 2.9 to 3.0 seconds

EVs at base level crush ICE on 0 to 60 times. there's no comparison.

for comparison, here's the EV f150 vs the fastest ICE engine they put in an f150.

The electric Ford F-150 Lightning is much faster than the gas-powered F-150 3.5L. The Lightning hits 0 to 60 mph in roughly 3.8 to 4.2 seconds [1, 2]. The F-150 3.5L EcoBoost does the same in about 5.3 seconds.

it's just a whole different thing. EVs are going to be quicker off the line and its not comparable.

ICE cars need thousands extra spent on super or turbo charge just to get close

Tesla makes sense if it's a daily driver and you have a house. You can refill the tank at home with 10 dollars in electricity, requires less maintenance, has highest crash test ratings, best autopilot software that literally drives you around. I'd still have a gas suv for long trips/ backup but it's hard to argue with unless you really just love engines and the visceral experience of driving itself
