Does anyone still mess around with grippers?
Does anyone still mess around with grippers? There is a big comeback in grip strength culture as a part of the Tiktok influencers niches. I got back into it last year with the Iron Mind Coc grippers. My PR is closing the #2.5 set for 3 reps. There are many brands out now that are good though, such as standard grippers. You can check out the universal ratings system here:
Gripper Strength Ratings for IronMind Captains of Crush, Tetting, GHP – Cannon PowerWorks
And just to be clear I have no affiliations with any of these companies. I'm just shilling for grip sport in general.

They never did anything for my forearms srs
I do reverse curls and wrist curls, fat grip pull variations, fat grip curls
I do reverse curls with my wrist facing down, like flex your forearm flexor, then do the reverse curl. Pumps up the flexors and the brachialis both
With a neutral wrist you only get brachialis
I go heavy on them mfs too.

Grip is still fun. I have a 100-lb Inch (sold my full sized Inch) and other tools (thick bars, rollers, etc).

There's no point in training neck or grip for most people. Just do some deadlifts or cleans and you're good.

Never really did. I end up hitting indirectly enough. Maybe not enough to blast them but I was not after lean mass gains

So having good grip that doesn't just break down from fatigue tends to imply good circulation and an active lifestyle. It's also why just working with your hands works so well for developing grip- it encourages recovery.
As we age, grip strength becomes a big indicator of overall health.
Years of jiu jitsu have made my grip pretty good.
On the grip strength tester I average about 138lbs which is really good considering my age.

I have several. I use them on and off. Mostly off lately. At one point I was where @DrugsToGetBig is with my dominant hand. Reps with the #2 but could never quite close the #2.5. I almost got the #2 with my non-dominant hand last year but then I hurt my wrist (probably broke it) last November and couldn't do much with it for a while.

I'm also dealing with some minor injuries that keep reappearing. One is a pain and sudden weakness of my left wrist at certain angles, another is an index finger that is too stiff and can be painfully "stubbed" if I happen to bend it on a surface. Working on both.

Respectable. I'd say the #2 is the gatekeeper challange.
