Why don’t you post the full quote you two timing bitch

Freep’s journalist then jumped in with the same question I would have wanted to ask: “But you don’t want people repairing their own vehicles?”Farley’s reply: “No, that’s, that’s fine, not for warranty work, though.

What does that even mean? Warranty work is done by a dealership because it's free to the vehicle owner. Once right to repair laws are repealed, then you won't be able to fix your own vehicle even after the warranty expires. Then it's too late.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

That's never been a thing. That's just a BS statement he's making until the owners of the vehicles have no protections, and after that it won't matter.

because he contradicted himsef, his quotes on it don't make sense and he's being cagey. in those cases you have to assume his actual beliefs is that bad one.

which is a nonsense statement, no one fixes their own warranty work anyway, nor is it an option, Ford wouldn't cover it.

People fix their own “warranty work” all the time what are you even talking about

He’s just saying he doesn’t want some retarded back yard mechanic fixing something that was supposed to be under warranty then coming back to ford when it doesn’t work

You should keep this energy for EU car companies that lock brakes to computers like Volkswagen does or bmw locking features behind a paywall.

Yet. That's the next step.

No they don't. Why would anyone spend their own time and money when the dealership will do it for free and take on all the liability?

that is not what he's saying nor do people do their own warranty work. literally never heard of someone saying "Well its free if Ford fixes it, but I'm going to do it myself that way it costs more money". I'm sure on some super tiny thing it happens, but nothing major which is what he's talking about.

And if that was what he's saying, why would it be a safety issue for warranty work, but once the warranty is up everything is safe?

he threw the warranty thing in there to deflect.

what makes you think I don't? I'd never buy a European car

ford makes nice cars that doesn't mean you have to defend their CEO when he's on some bullshit

If you wanted to defend him, the better point would be "he's kinda right, there are some real idiots out there and if they fix their own brakes and they miss it up badly they could easily kill someone" or "I've seen videos of poorly done wheel spacers causing the wheel to come off at highway speeds making massive wreck"

Brakes aren’t covered under warranty normally it’s like tires

no shit, more evidence this isn't about warranty work. you missed the entire issue because he threw in the phrase "warranty work" in a context that doesn't make sense. that's why I left it out of the quote. his misdirection worked on you.

brake defects are covered though.

Biggest job I've ever done was replace a clutch. Now why the fuck would I do that if the car was under warranty and the dealer would do it for me for free?

Gooba is from upstate NY. They're all a bit slow up there.

When I read the quote, I would've bet money the CEO was a woman or jew. I'm shocked and disturbed
