Unpopular opinion: People who complain about authority would be no better if given power
Think about how much of a power trip the average person goes on when given just a bit of authority (HOAs, people on school boards, when someone gets promoted at work so other employees now answer to them, etc)
People complain about authority when they don't have any or much of it
You put those same people in positions of power and they'll eventually start acting just like the people they were complaining about, if not more
That's been show throughout history when a rebel or counter culture figure attained authority and they gradually reverted to being similar to the people they were complaining about and took over for
Such as the "peace and love", "question authority" hippies who eventually became the current boomers
"Today's defiant rebel is tomorrow's status quo"
People complain about authority when they don't have any or much of it

People who complain about authority would often be even worse with authority. They're angry at authority because authority doesn't reward them, because they don't appear to have merit, so they blame their shortcomings on authority. They just (usually, not always) don't have the skill to be rewarded in life, and their lack of skill is (usually, not always) a lack of intelligence, which would make them ineffective leaders.

you hear that the people who should be in power don't want to be...and those who do want to be in power often shouldn't be. some not so good qualities in the personality types looking for power or doing what it takes to get it -- think politicians...truly honest people aren't usually willing to play the game that has to be played to win.

FB used to be littered with degrading posts about Trudeau when he was in power, as if the people who made those posts could do better.
I would go out in the world and people ballin' in life would complain about Trudeau, how he was shit and how the world was going to shit.
Trudeau did a lot to help the little people like me, disabled people, low income people, the money has to come from somewhere, wealthy people even say they want to do their part and pay more taxes if thats what it takes, I just don't happen to know those people, the people I meet always complain about whoever is in charge rather than build them up.
Most people have a problem with authority, it doesn't matter who is in charge they will have a problem with them.
I always thought how someone like me would be lost if I was in charge of Canada, in reality it would be someone like me who would probably do better than these yahoos who rebel against authority.
Up until a few years ago if you were disabled and didn't qualify for special disability benefits ie: through your job, you were fucked, you were given the same as a welfare recipient, essentially enough to pay 300 a month in rent and 200 to buy groceries, thats it, now a disabled person can actually afford to have a somewhat normal life and actually have options to buy a house when they reach senior citizen status because of the special retirement plan for disabled people now.
Ignorant people think things should be the way they were in the 1700s, obviously not in ways that don't benefit themselves though, their logic is things like "if you don't work, you don't eat".

Sweating all day every day, your feet hurt, your muscles are fucked, your hands are in pain, the elements be it sun, hot or cold and kicking your butt but you push through the pain until your 10 min break. Then you keep working for another 5 hours. Every fucking day.
And then when you get your $6000 for the month, give $1500 of it to a guy that's been sitting inside all day, smoking cigarettes and is too lazy to even take a fucking shower.
See how you feel about it then, month in month out, year in year out. While he wastes every fucking dollar of yours on whatever he wastes it on, think how that money YOU earned with your blood sweat and tears could have bettered your life, increased your wealth so you could live a better quality of life or be closer to retirement after working full time for 50+ years.
I guarantee you would feel exactly the same way about it as I do.
It's always the have nots that have no problem taking from the haves, they actually think they are justified in doing so. But to then turn around an call them the ignorant. Fucking hell.

One reason so many small businesses fail is that those who couldn't by trusted run someone else's business or some who couldn't keep a job said "fuk it I'll run my own show" and found out the hard way.

You are so far down the totem pole you dont even make me feel better about myself srs. I dont even find your life entertaining, I just experience disgust.
To be you I would have to have the same lack of self awareness and pure delusion. If you put my mind in your body I would have your life turned around in a week dead srs.
While it's way more complex, I can distil a fundamental difference between you and I - at 0500 when my alarm goes off I get out of bed. Every single time, not matter how tired I am or how warm my bed feels. You never developed that crucial building block of a worker.
Like I pointed out earlier, you cant even take a fucking shower once a day, and you have all fucking day to do it. Pure, unadulterated laziness.
