IDK man, it's tough to get a career going these days - and it's only going to continue getting worse. Coincidentally, it wasn't until 34 that I finally managed to get a solid career going. I know how it is though, and I have a lot of sympathy for the many people that are seriously trying and things aren't working out.

Being poor at 35 means you lost. The liklihood of SS representing a large amount of your retirment spending skyrockets. Brootal.

On a srs note, I just don't see it. I probably won't make it. Might seem stupid to a lot of you, but my German shepherd is 4 years old. I'm hoping she lives to be 14 or so and we just both go together. It's all overrated.

Regardless we were set up for a nice middle upper class life. 3600 sq ft house in a nice suburb of Chicago, 2 kids, 2 dogs. A nice normal suburban nightmare. My ex pulled the rug from under me and filed for divorce 3 years later.

Started over, things are on track to be much better than any future I envisioned with her.
