I go to national parks in the winter to avoid this crap. Yosemite was dead when I went in February of last year. The tunnel view had like two cars in the parking area. I sat in that lot for 20 minutes and had no one in my way.

Haven't been to Yosemite, but I'd like to. Been to Yellowstone a bunch and every pullout is packed now. It's not so bad if you are willing to get into the backcountry but it's getting to where you have to go pretty deep to really get away from people. Between the people and the regulations I don't usually backpack in national parks. I'm hitting the White Clouds with my boys next month. Should be a great trip.

There was some snowshoeing and cross country skiing but we just did the board walks in winter. We'd always see a ton of animals because the snow pushed them down to the lower elevations and it was less busy. Pretty cold though. I remember trips where it was 20 below in the morning. You can still do that type of trip but now, you have to get selected in a draw to be able to go in on snowmobiles without a guide so it's a lot tougher.

Wtf is even the point of visiting a national park if there's people everywhere. Just go to Target or the mall lol
I went to Yellowstone a couple summers ago and the only crowded place was Old Faithful, a massive tourist trap. Other than that the park was peaceful and you didn't see that many tards around.
Idk what the hell is going on in that video, but I'd just leave if I saw that shit
