Splinter Cell franchise for me. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED that series. Ubisoft really ruined it.

Saints Row. First one was GOATed. SR2 was still solid, but they removed a bunch of the multiplayer modes. SR3 got crazy, they removed multiplayer and it was like a completely different game, basically split the audience and killing the franchise going forward.

Is this a Bioware memorial thread?
Mass Effect Andromeda - I mean it was fine on the surface level .... But jesus christ what a disaster on all fronts though and so many missed opportunities. The way things are going, I even doubt ME4 will release and if it does, it'll never reach the standards of peak Bioware.
Dragon Age - All the Dragon ages were decent and fine, but Veilguard was a shitty product beyond belief despite being the best Bioware game that was running on a technical level.

DA 2 was a MASSIVE let down in this sense. Inq definitely ups the ante though and at least boasts good combat and well designed maps with loads to do. Haven't played Veilguard as the story just sounds boring (like the story was boring with 2 and 3)

Saints Row gets increasingly weird at the series progresses; the first has that gang warfare/territory takeover feel, but by 3 the game is basically a spoof, with zombies, sex dolls, naked people running around, Virtual reality missions, weird Japanese style game shows etc....then 4 has matrix and aliens.
Then there are series which started off so strong that the devs basically had nowhere to go, so they just made more of the same but bigger and put more weapons/abilities in without really building on anything. Examples; Borderlands, Batman Arkham Asylum, Bioshock, Mass Effect

Agreed with Saints Row. Battlefield will never be the same again. BF6 could have been good but they just make constant balancing changes and still can't fix basic things like netcode/gunplay, squad matchmaking, and persistent servers. Rainbow Six is another one. Siege was ok for a while but I stopped playing it over a year ago and even for months before that I didn't enjoy it that much. Vegas and Vegas 2 were both awesome but I don't see them going back to that type of game.
