Pop one out during Trump's presidency and you can open an account with the government where they will put $1,000 into a fund of their choosing, that will grow until the child is 18, where they can cash out or it gets rolled into an IRA where you now have full investment control.

Now, every child with a parent who's IQ is above room temp 2025-2028 will wake up one day at 18 with an account in their name with $5,500 assuming the government put it in a SP500 index with a 10% annual return rate. The gains will be taxed at 15% for roughly $675.

So either $5k cash in hand at 18 to start life or a head start on an IRA. If they just roll it into an IRA and never contribute again, it will become $304,000 at age 60. That's better than 70% of this countries retiree's today and you literally did nothing except be born and have a parent who passed 8th grade.
