How many times have you looked directly at the sun?

probably 6-7 times in my life i said fuck it and just decided to look at the sun for like 30 seconds or a minute. still 20/20 vision

edit: woah. this could be a new guinness world record. when u think about it, how long does the average person in their life look at the sun directly? 2 mins? i could do that in one go

i was doing some repair welding work on base in IIRC 2018? there was a big eclipse that year. i looked at it for lik 10 min thru a welding helmet

That was the one, I got the globohomo vision glasses and did that for a second, then rocked the sung glasses, then went bareback for a split second.

i fucked up, it was actually 2017 aug. i found some on photos in the album from that time. close enough though.

Doesn't seem to be an advantage to it

Did it feel like sand pouring in your eye? That is when it's supposed to be causing damage at least for welding. A welder I know said it's true, he doesn't have any eye damage but has seen the arc a few times.

Yeah I have seen them too on accident not super close but yeah and makes me super paranoid about losing my vision

lol ur good. my batteries went out plenty on my weld helmet and never auto darkened while striking a arc or starting
