How the fuk is Lowe’s in business?
Don’t get me wrong I like Lowe’s and Home Depot
But Home Depot is so much better in terms of returns and their employee helping out
Everytime I go to lowes there’s like 20 employees just standing not doing anything (srs)
And lowes is maybe like 1/5 as busy as HD (at least in my town)
If harbor freight can somehow get deals to get shower head / door knobs etc it’s over for Lowe’s (srs)

I had a Husky tool break.
The box it was in had a sticker on the back literally saying "hassle free lifetime warranty".
had a hassle trying to get a working one.
After much hubub I asked for a manager and pointed to this sticker, manager finally overrode the dumbass cashier and handed me a new screwdriver since the old one fell to pieces.
Lowes is ok if you don't have a Menards or HD nearby.
But I try and avoid Lowes whenever possible because they always had English signs AND mexican signs, which pissed me off since I first went to a lowes like 20 years ago. Fuck that.
HD didn't have fucking mexican gibberish in AMERICAN STORES.

Statistically speaking, a customer is more likely to get hurt in Lowe’s than any other store.
Statistically speaking, they pay out.
Just so you know also fuck major corporations.

Tbh with places like this it just depends on location. Some stores have good management and some don't

I use to have a janky ac unit and it would go out randomly. So I’d goto lowes and buy a portable ac unit when use it until my ac was fixed and then returned it. Did that like at least 5 times lol

i ran into a longtime employee of lowes who was layed off and he told me that the reason no one knows where anything is/what it is...is because they mass layed off employees to hire cheaper labor. they have a stack of applications too so no one is exempt from being fired.

HD is for contractors, Lowes is for lesbians doing DIY.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Never had a problem returning things to Lowes...never had any of the problems OP is describing. But the reason I go to Lowes is location...the nearest Home Depot is 10-12 miles, Lowes is 2 miles.
I also don't see any reason to think Home Depot is better than Lowes...although I did order a hammer drill from HD and had it delivered.
