What do you have to concentrate on that is working/good? Focus on what is going right and make extra efforts in that direction. Neg distractions won't seem so weighty then.

I am jacked. I have an amazing wife of 25 years, 3 amazing kids who I would hang out with even if they weren't my kids, and I will finally be in on a movie project next year (screenwriter & producer), a lifetime goal. So Yes!

Stay true. The chasing game is one of a few results: a kid you didn't plan on, a disease you didn't plan on, a dad with a shotgun you didn't plan on or a heartbreak you didn't think was possible.

how do i find out who i am and what i'm good at?

where do i go? who do i talk to?

I have no father/family, no gf, no role models for guidance...

the only thing i could have excelled at was swimming, if my parents got me into it early
right now i just want to move to spain and live a mediocre life in the sun <--- look how stupid that sounds

My dream is to be in the movie industry because I love movies, I love thinking about making my own movies or helping out in the production of a movie, etc. I know I'm very creative and detail oriented and I wanna use that in my career.

But I majored in engineering and have a 9-5 engineering job... I'm completely out of place with what I really wana do but it earns me good money.

Most people love the glamour of movies and have no idea about the hard work. Are you willing to spend 6 months researching and writing a good script and not get paid a dime (spec script). Are you willing to have multiple doors slammed in your face and people be rude to you and you not be rude back?

What do you want to do? write, direct, act, what?

Yes I am willing to spend months researching/writing a script without getting paid and getting doors slammed in my face as long as I'm going in the right direction. I have so many good ideas that I visualize in my head... like random action scenes, themes, characters, story outlines, shock scenes etc... I just don't know how to put it on a script or how to present the ideas. Even if I did I would have no idea where to go with it. So yeah, if I did know what to do with it and if I was heading in the right direction... I wouldn't mind any of the crap I get on the way because this would be a hobby for me, not a job. I'll gladly sit for months w/o getting paid to produce something using my imagination.

I just want to be involved in a badass movie. A lot of ideas I've had were inspired from other movies and I always dream about making my own movie by combining some of the best elements of other movies. Being an actor would be amazing... but realistically I don't have the looks for it and I have no acting skills, so I don't think that will ever happen and I'm okay with that. But if I could write or direct a movie that would be good enough because my "job" would pretty much be a hobby.

Ok make a full plot outline. When you get the script down it will have to be 90-120 pages in screenplay format. But you have to start with the outline. PM me and I will get you a sample script format.
