I like your idea of treating others how you would like to be treated, but I find that if you treat people respectfully and be nice to them, they take advantage and walk all over you. thoughts?

Respect for you. Mindboggling the things you might have come across being more than twice my age and the things men my age can learn from older wiser men. But then I look at the other 50 year olds in my life and I don't see much which makes me wonder if men really do learn and grow with age.

Hey, op. I need your thoughts on friends. Haven't got the time to read everything so I don't know if you've answered this kind of question before.

I have very few friends because I'm not really the most social type. Although I do know how to talk to people.

But I realized most of those few friends don't really care. Brb I listen when they talk, they don't listen when it's my turn

I try to live life in a way that would make my future self proud. I have friends that talk about all of the opportunities they would have if they could restart college or restart from the beginning of high school. But when they're 30 they'll say "What if I could restart from the end of college.." thinking the same thoughts. It's never too late to turn things around.

On the one hand, If they don't listen they, are they really friends? On the other hand, are you being annoying and banal with your conversations? Its a fair question to ask yourself. Are you always the guy who people say "oh brother here he comes again."

Be engaging. Be smart about conversations. People like smart. But not arrogant.
