-Figure out early what is important; you cannot do this early enough
-Don’t spend so much money on liquor. I could have bought a brand new SUV by now
-Pick a few things and do them well and stick with them, quit chasing random crap
-Select a career you love regardless of the money, cause you never know when you will be kicked to the curb, unless you want to be self-employed.
-You treat people like crap, you will get treated like crap. Expect it, and no cryin
-Eat right.
-What’s outside (aesthetic) is important, but what’s more important is who you are inside (no whiteknight, just reality, deal with it)
-Insecure people always have to have someone/something else to blame. Don’t be that guy.

(More later, and BTW no amount of rage on your part will change the validity of my words):
21 and how do I do this part? right now i'm just following the money because I have no idea what i'm interested in/what sort of career i would love. I spent the past 2 years thinking about the correct career for me, and came out with nothing.

Also, on that first point, what sort of things do you think are important? As of right now, the only thing I truly value and think is important is family.
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

What do you like doing that you could see as a career path? I don't mean cab driver or ski lift operator. What do you like doing? Writing, art, any kind of sport? What is it?

I do not believe in NO hope. Can things be tough? Yep. Can things feel impossible at times? Yep. I was in my 20's and we lived in Govt housing, and my toddler daughter asked me why we had to live in a "pound for people".

You face life straight up and tell it "you aren't going to be me today." You do your best every day. It will all fall into place. If you need better looks, work on yourself in the gym; if you are too shy, try to take a class that helps you relate to people. Find what you like and BE successful at it. Everybody is good at something.

DEENUR, I have read through all 19 pages of this thread and every bit of information you have given is pretty damn solid.

There are some people here who words alone will never reach but for those who are willing to listen take this mans life advice into consideration. Some of the other miscers here have really good advice, would recommend this thread to anyone for enlightenment.

My advice to my younger self:
EVERYTHING you do in life will eventually come back to you in some form or another. Carry your manners everywhere you go, and help as many people as you can cause there is always someone watching. Watch out your actions bros, they have consequences.

Repped, would rep again if I could.

Do not be afraid. Fear paralyzes you from reaching the potential that you have as an individual. Do not be concerned if people do not understand/support you own personal walk. Its not theirs to understand,

"don't try to change anyone"
Thats a big one actually, just ended a 4.5yr relationship thinking this person will change...nope, people have to want to change. Some people should be focusing on themselves (in many ways) before they can be in relationships.

Logged in to thank you for this thread.

I'm battling with depression right now, and have been feeling really sad and unfulfilled the past 3 years, reading this thread made me feel more confident about few things.

Hope you all the best through your weight loss journey.
