im finishing up electrical engineering by next summer. i dislike my major, every class is a miserable drag

im 21 and i have never had a job. i guess you could say i have life easier than most. i am not spoiled or entitled as some would take advantage of the situation. the main reason why i did not switch out of electrical engineering is because i wanted to make my parents happy, since they gave me a very easy life.

anyway, i enjoy working out and thought about doing personal training after i graduate. i feel like i should at least try for an internship or get some experience in electrical engineering to see if i like it. the problem is that i don't feel motivated to apply due to the boredom from my classes.

wat do?

Any advice for a 20 year old brah who doesn't like his course and finishing it in another one and a half years(nursing) but wants to get to try out becoming a mechanic for aircraft. But is to timid and shy and doesn't know where the hell to start.

Highschool
- didn't know what to do what career to choose
- parents kind of pressured me to become a nurse cz they are stable job etc etc. and no joke chit load of filipinos become nurses

Cliffs
- Brah does three year nursing degree and has almost completed it
- Brah starts working in hospital doesn't like it cz not getting along with coworkers, not appreciated much and not his thing
- Brah sees other high school friends doing well for themselves they seem to like their course and get more $$ than i am
- Brah finds out he wants to try out aircraft mechanics
- Brah doesn't know where to start what to do

At least you have an idea of what you may like. Stay the course that you have started and work in that field until you can switch. Having goals will keep your attitude strong, Go out of your way to have a good attitude while doing something you dont like, as it is a means to the end. So do nursing as a means to the end of doing what you REALLY want but be intentional about pointing everything else in THAT direction. You'll make it.

Save money and do what you love? Already am, the money hasn't come yet though. I don't go out much, I know I should. I don't necessarily have to drink. ut I have plenty of fulfilling hobbies that I'm trying to get better at such as guitar (I'm taking lessons), video games (IDC what people stigmatize this with), and lifting (Never stops once you start).

Thanks OP, I'll try to be smart, my main issue is my career since I dropped out of college.
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Just finished reading through the whole (2yr) thread. If you take the time you're sure to find a few interesting nuggets of wisdom and insight.

Personally, I appreciated Deenur's stance on LOVE and WOMEN. A refreshing attitude on relationships that focuses on respect, communication and kindness.

OP how was your social life during your 20s and how has it evolved now? (this thread feels like sending messages into the future)

My 20's sucked. Didnt have a good attitude about myself and treated others the same way. One night stands, horrible relationships, misery and loneliness. Drunk from 16-24. Quit cold sober. Found my love and got married.

23 and a half , i have no experience with woman . i have never had a conversation with a woman that isn't family related , still a virgin even though i had 2 sloots pull my arms at a party once because they wanted to take my virginity ( everyone knows i'm a virgin )
basically what's stopping me is my dick . it's average but looks small to me so really insecure about that

i don't give a fuk about anything , not even myself . i don't know why , maybe because i'm such a pussy .
still live at home , no car or driver license , been getting drunk every weekend for the past7 years

i've been miscing for 7 years after work and in the weekends , whenever i have free time and right now i feel like i need to change things and do something with my life because i feel like my brain has had enough of this chit and mentally i suffer

my anxiety is stopping me from living life . i have social anxiety , arachanafobia , anxiety for other people .
had panic attacks when i was 19 because all of the sudden i realised i didn't know who i was . things have never been the same since then

i've been working a chit job for 3 years with chit pay , and i don't know how much longer i can continue living like this

i never knew what i wanted to do in life and probably never will , i just laugh everything away and see life as a joke because well . i suck at it . i might be 6 ft 4 220 lbs but i have the mentality of a girl that's 9 years old
