How dare some of you raise your snooty little noses at these workers who came together and protested for better wages.. Such awful human beings, wanting to be compensated more for the hours they give to their company..

The same people who look down on these workers are the one's who "work" at a cubicle all day shopping online or on social media and probably do about 25 mins of doing actual work while getting paid much more...

Also if they rustle your jimmies, you probably feel threatened or jealous that some "burger flipper" will make close to what you're making, maybe you should take their initiative and fight for more compensation...

And no I don't work at McDonalds or any other fast food restaurant

Anyone can flip burgers

The do not deserve to earn 15$ an hour

They should have tried harder in school

If minimum wage goes to $15 per hour, then everything will get more expensive. It will be a snowball effect, I don't feel like going into detail but basically everything will get more expensive to compensate and the people getting $15 an hour won't be that much better off because everything will raise in proportion to their wage increase.

Minimum wage goes up, minimum wage earners suddenly have more disposable income, demand for various goods goes up, prices go up as a result, minimum wage workers aren't really any better off

And everyone who earns more than minimum wage and didn't get an epic raise is now worse off

Not sure if rollbread. A lot of fast food workers are going to eventually lose their jobs because of the $15 minimum wage. They'll be replaced with kiosks and burger-flipping robots. No manager is going to keep an employee whose wage is greater than the revenue they bring the company.

Also, nobody gives af what they make. That's between them and their employer. Im not with or against them. If they can negotiate better wages, good for them. If not, so be it. Taking their side as a random, uninvoled third party makes you basically a try-hard wannabe social justice crusader. Get a hobby and worry bout your own business.

EMT's.... front line responders, not drive-thru responders usually start out at $11.00 to $14.00 an hour (depends on state)................. and you think people who drop a few packets of ranch and a toy in a bag should get $15.00 an hour?

Since McD's is one of the world's largest corporations with crazy revenue, why don't they give their employees a great benefits package like UPS does? UPS pays only $8.50/hr starting but they have great benefits.

How about we compromise.

Keep the minimum wages where they're at, McDonald's employees included, and then make it mandatory that waiters and waitresses across ALL restaurants on USA soil get paid $15 an hour (with the contingency that the lack of tipping can no longer legally serve as reasonable cause for complaints or blacklisting).

This solves the tipping crisis. This also gives minimum wage workers something else to attempt to pursue.

If there's well paying jobs that monkeys could do and McDonald's workers don't think they are being paid enough why don't they go do those jobs?
