No Need to squat heavy ever again, high reps FTW (pic)
So i started leg training with volume, 15-25 reps each set and it worked! (4 months ago)
DOMS are easily 50% reduced and i don't dread training them legs anymore.
Why the hell would you train them heavy!? i never will again!
Max i squat is like 90kg for 15 which was my best ive done last week.

Good job mane. Squatting heavy is fun, though. I might try your approach for a while. I find high reps to be more brutal than going heavy, but maybe it just takes some getting used to.

Turning 33 this year. Stopped squatting more than 100kg. No need to.
Using the Rich Piana method. First I do 20x bodyweight squats then immediately go for 100kg x10. Don't even have to wear a belt anymore. Haven't deadlifted in years. Worst exercise ever for tall guys with short arms.
I like my knees functional and back functional.
Nice calves, btw. Don't know what you're on about.

high rep squats suck way more than heavy 1-5 rep sets.
I did 140kg for 5x10 the other week and it sucked hard
edit: I usually do 1 volume day/week and then some other heavier days

Agreed. Squatting heavy is for ego and competing. I'm good with not killing myself. 8-10 reps is perfect

Squatting heavy is just stupid unless you need the strength for a reason i.e. sports or a powerlifting comp.
You **** up your knees and you get like 4 day doms, so that hinders cardio and all other weight training movements.
Its like going out drinking and getting seriously wrecked and then waking up like o **** why did i do that, yer it was great at the time but your fked now so it was stupid.
I am proof heavy leg day is bull, its all about volume on legs, George farrah i have you to thank

Can confirm. I did 10x10 on squats, began with 185lbs and added 10lbs each session until i did 225lbs 10x10. My legs grew. But then i got overtrained, so that was probably too much volume.

Do you do 15-25 for all exercises, or just squats?
Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

I trained 20 rep squats for a while, and I got up to 195 lbs (88.45 kg), but my legs are nowhere near yours, op. I've had better growth since switching to 2x10 with heavier weights, then 4x12 leg press.

So the big question to me is, what is the equivalent to the other body parts?
Bench for 4 sets of 15-25?
