Cop slams 15 y/o skater to the ground

daily cop thread for da misc
15 year old Jay Huber went to downtown Tampa(FL) to celebrate his birthday. We got permission to skate this spot from the security guard and the police still showed up. The officer that threw him wouldn't give me his name or badge number. Jay ended up being charged with resisting arrest, and sprained his ankle from the take down. Officer E.Turner is the one who took him down. Winkowski was the officer associated with it.

i hate to pay devils advocate here, but ya'll have no idea what happened before the camera rolled. was the suspect doing something suspicious? the cop did a pat down, so maybe he thought the purpotrater was carrying something? juveniles like that may have some illegal substances/weapons on them, and the cop did a great job to diffuse what could have been a serious danger to the public. but i do agree that the 'take down' was a little rough. and not exactly textbook. the officer could have done some serious bodily injury to himself, the way he fell. glad to know he is okay.

were they told to leave multiple times by those cops and just relocated to this area and now we see the result?

wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, it's funny how people leave out those sort of details. If not, cop is clearly in the wrong and there is no reason to body slam a 90lb lesbian skateboarder
