You will need a lot more power than one pc. There are rigs as big as warehouses to mine btc. Even with that much of a rig, they're only able to mine at a slow rate

bitcoin has a lot of flaws that will cause problems later, the reason it is still big is because it was first.

eth will become big because it solves these problems but not only can it be used as currency but it also serves a practical purpose (decentralized computing)

I believe so too and I'm honestly considering doing it. It just hurts really bad because I had a pretty sizeable initial investment. Did my research and believed in eth. Then came the greed and I reduced my stash to 25% of what it once us. All of this despite ETH doing incredibly well (the first peak to 15$ I completely failed to capitalise on). Was my first time ever trading currencies and handling cryptos, so it was all a learning experience. Now I've got this stuff somewhat figured out, and was making slow but steady gains recovering what I lost. The fact that eth is now taking off without me on board is making me borderline suicidal. Wish I had just kept my initial stash and forgotten about it. ****.

Can definitely understand why some dudes off themselves after failing at this stuff. ****'s nerve wracking like nothing else.

I still remember when BTC was first mentioned on the misc. Jumped to like $100 and I was like okay.jpg I regret not buying but now it's too expensive for a poverty student like me to buy anyway and probably won't go any higher.

Nek minnut it's like $1000 per coin.

the thing I hate about coinbase is it takes a week to get ur bitcoins if you link a bank account, you can do through debit card but it's only 40$ limit per day. Signed up with circle yesterday they let you do 300 USD/week with card, instantly.
If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary

This is why you should already have had a coinbase account. Mine is about about two years old.

Oh look, it'sthisthread again...
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

^^ think cex.io has an option to buy w/ credit with a good conversion rate it's like $100 min. purchase though and new accts cannot access btc for a few days (i think). From there you can trade btc to eth or whatever.

If you have anything significant $ wise in crypto it's better to figure out a good way to store it off exchange... those fkin guys scam / "get hacked" and lose customer funds like it's their job
