My mom's house was broken into last night/day while she was here at my house

silver and jewels were taken. It sickens me. Taking money is one thing; but taking heirlooms that can't and won't be able to be replace is the lowest of the low.

I hate thieves/burglars whatever the correct term in this case is

The police were no help of course and these items won't be seen again and it just breaks my heart for my mom. She had very little in the way of valuable items and for somebody to just come in a take them sickens me to my core. She had already made plans for a lot of these things to be passed on the my wife and/or daughter

she lives in a good neighborhood on a well lit street, there were no signs of forced entry so obviously somebody knew her routine and knew she would be gone for an extended period of time.

I just don't know what to say or do; just needed to vent to somebody
