Traits for superior physical performance alone don't provide much utility in a world where you don't have to chase your food on foot anymore. Regardless of how high the population gets and how scarce resources become, the people with superior intelligence will prosper by devising better methods for control and access.

Secondly, humans are predominantly selfish as fuk and virtually NO ONE that actually wants to have a kid would forego doing so based on an "decreasing finite resources" argument. I gave one example of an extreme outlier (Richard Stallman) who is a one of a billion guy in that he's so logic-driven and true to his briefs that he would do exactly that.

Anyway I was not advocating for a conscious effort to avoid having kids to begin with. I think that's entirely a personal choice, some obviously consider having kids a fulfilling component of life whereas others could do without them. At the same time however, you cannot deny the logical arguments behind the conscious choice of not having kids.
