I've lived in the south all of my life, most of the time in large metro areas....at least past few years. I grew up in a small town of 15k in Kentucky and I definitely had that southern upbringing...but I wouldn't say redneck.
I've found that it really has more to do with living in the city vs rural rather than the south vs north. For work I travel quite a bit and once you get out of large metropolitan areas ...country people are country people...at least in general.

The American deep south is the butt of jokes around the world, I don't think any other region on Earth is made fun of globally as much as the confederate states.

That whole southern hospitality is so fake. I'd rather people be straight up and honest than talk chit behind my back. I lived in Nashville and it just seemed weird and artificial. In New york/new jersey where i live now people are more honest and blunt which I prefer

The South is great but once I find a woman (can't do that in small town as an outsider) I'm moving to rural Wyoming/Montana/Colorado.
Nothing in the world like the rural Rocky Mountains.
Hard, gun-toting white men, glorious mountains and all the elk you can eat. Infinitely better scenery and weather compared to the south.

Best food in NY? IDK about that one. The South is known for their ribs, fish, shrimp, chicken, etc. Maybe if you don't like meat so much or like ethnic options.

As someone who has attended both an ivy and a community college...cut the chit about college "rankings" in 2016. That's based on Lesbian Dance Theory majors getting published by their peers, not actual adult work.
Average community college student majoring in STEM probably has a 15-20 pt IQ gap over the average ivy league student. Ivy leagues is about fitting into a group (right family, right race, etc).
MIT students are all brilliant of course, but most of them are General Tso's.
Average english major at Harvard is every bit the gape-jawed retard that an english major at a state school is.

Tell it to some suburban rich kid from the north who, up until age 12, had never even seen a black person IRL, and he's alot more likely to think "oh yeah, white privilege.. that makes sense"

I can tell you've never even been down here
Down here, we do our own thing and whites do their own thing
Unless you're wandering around in some predominantly ethnic area of Memphis or some chit, this wouldn't happen. I'm sure if I went to some of the whiter parts of the rural south id be at danger of getting jumped, shot, beaten to a bloody pulp, lynched etc. it doesn't happen because we don't go to those areas lel
Anyways
Down here, we have the best athletes, best music, best food, best COL, etc
Only thing that sucks is the weather

Just let OP talk. Every once in a while the south does get out of line and America has to go down there and backhand them so they remember their place.

Last time we burned the south to the ground, literally everything. Some economist say they're still recovering from that. So just let OP be leaf.

If you want to live in a multi racial area, you can
If you're white and want to live around whites you can
If you're Mexican and want to live around only Mexicans you can
If you're black and want to live around blacks you can
People always say how the south is so racist. I've never interacted with a white person in my life. Land is plentiful down here. Beautiful
