It's just an excuse to make a $65,000 hike to brag about into something not selfish. Lol at attempting the seven summits (brb gonna cost you a million dollars) and even more lol at "experienced climber because she's done Kilimanjaro"...

Everest is such a gongshow. I dislike when people say it's easy and a Sherpa can just carry you up but it's not a godly feat and you certainly aren't some legitimate mountaineer for doing it.

Also, probably already lots of legit vegan climbers, especially rock climbers

I don't think there's a concrete reason. Some peoples bodies just handle it better. Other than acclimatizing there's not much you can do to prevent it.

Damn, I really want to climb this rock one day. Maybe when im done with college, and its time to walk away from basketball I will take on mountain climbing. Just realized as a shortie, I might be in better shape because of lung to body size correlation?

I got negged last time but this ^

Anyone with 100k and no work obligations can climb Everest and succeed. Dying on the mountain is entirely about hitting chitty weather, phucking up or failing the coin flip that determines if your body wants you to randomly die of altitude sickness.

People die on Everest still? I thought it had basically turned into a tourist destination where sherpas carry all your ****, and you just need to worry about the climb.
Good to know this is still a challenge and I can put it back on my bucketlist.

No they don't.

They do the boring repetitive fetch and carry to base and up and down between camps. Once you're in the death zone you're on your own.

Anyway tell us more about your Everest climb.
