Japan was also planning on releasing plague carrying fleas on America in September of 1945. They were NOT ready to surrender.

There's honestly no bigger cope on this earth than how people try to rationalise these nukes. If one innocent American is killed by ISIS there's people literally crying on TV and demanding revenge. But 200,000 innocent Japanese murdered and decades of birth defects and radiation poisoning and it's all, "well their nation became economically successful afterwards so maybe these nukes were just the leg-up they needed!"

The horizontal vagina eyed Japs were savages back then. There's a point where a nation's leader says ok **** it. It's either my country or your country going down, or both. But we are stepping it up and **** you for Pearl Harbor.

Wasn't defending the bombings, just stating what happened after that. Can't change history. Also, you should ask Koreans how they feel about those bombs, after being colonized, raped, tortured, killed, shipped off to Japan and left there to die.

What's scary is how close Germany was to having the nuclear bomb before us, just imagine if Hitler had got his hand on that technology.

Atomic Weapons Were Not Needed to End the War or Save Lives
Like all Americans, I was taught that the U.S. dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in order to end WWII and save both American and Japanese lives.
But most of the top American military officials at the time said otherwise.
The U.S. Strategic Bombing Survey group, assigned by President Truman to study the air attacks on Japan, produced a report in July of 1946 that concluded (52-56):
Based on a detailed investigation of all the facts and supported by the testimony of the surviving Japanese leaders involved, it is the Surveyβs opinion that certainly prior to 31 December 1945 and in all probability prior to 1 November 1945, Japan would have surrendered even if the atomic bombs had not been dropped, even if Russia had not entered the war, and even if no invasion had been planned or contemplated.
General (and later president) Dwight Eisenhower β then Supreme Commander of all Allied Forces, and the officer who created most of Americaβs WWII military plans for Europe and Japan β said:
The Japanese were ready to surrender and it wasnβt necessary to hit them with that awful thing.

Didn't we drop tens of thousands of warning letters around the intended targets a few days before the bombings to let everyone know that they needed to evacuate?

Just look at the timeline on the defeat of Germany then almost immediately afterwards the US just so happens to develop nuclear weapons. LOL @ believing that.
Germany decided to not use nuclear weapons because they would kill too many civilians.
