Wasn't defending the bombings, just stating what happened after that. Can't change history. Also, you should ask Koreans how they feel about those bombs, after being colonized, raped, tortured, killed, shipped off to Japan and left there to die.

Atomic Weapons Were Not Needed to End the War or Save Lives

Like all Americans, I was taught that the U.S. dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in order to end WWII and save both American and Japanese lives.

But most of the top American military officials at the time said otherwise.
The U.S. Strategic Bombing Survey group, assigned by President Truman to study the air attacks on Japan, produced a report in July of 1946 that concluded (52-56):

Based on a detailed investigation of all the facts and supported by the testimony of the surviving Japanese leaders involved, it is the Survey’s opinion that certainly prior to 31 December 1945 and in all probability prior to 1 November 1945, Japan would have surrendered even if the atomic bombs had not been dropped, even if Russia had not entered the war, and even if no invasion had been planned or contemplated.

General (and later president) Dwight Eisenhower – then Supreme Commander of all Allied Forces, and the officer who created most of America’s WWII military plans for Europe and Japan – said:

The Japanese were ready to surrender and it wasn’t necessary to hit them with that awful thing.

They were the first ones to split an uranium atom in 1938 all that was left was the technical aspects of making the bomb. They just didn't succeed in time before the end of the war but that doesn't mean they wouldn't have.

You're over simplifying the technical aspects of making the bomb. Splitting a uranium atom is one thing, using fission and putting it in a bomb is another. Could Germany have done it before invading Poland? I'm sure they could have, but they invaded Poland and that's that. That's like saying Germany almost won the war (they didn't come close).

Yes! That's the truth.

Just look at the timeline on the defeat of Germany then almost immediately afterwards the US just so happens to develop nuclear weapons. LOL @ believing that.

Germany decided to not use nuclear weapons because they would kill too many civilians.
The muscles i value most are the ones directly surrounding the spine, the hips, the scapula, the femur and the tibia... in that order.

Basically the whole body minus chest and biceps... pretty much the opposite of what your local gym looks like on a typical Monday.

There were a few cities that weren't really bombed much leading up to the atomic bombs being dropped. That was so we could see the true devastation of the atomic bombs. I don't think we would've told the Japanese people anything to alert them that we had such devastating weapons.

While they allegedly never leafleted Hiroshima directly prior to the attack how can you really misinterpret "the inevitable and complete destruction of the Japanese armed forces and just as inevitably the utter devastation of the Japanese homeland" unless you surrender thing. Also when you said Germany wasn't close to winning the war, they would have if they weren't so overly ambitious. Britain hung on by an absolute thread and would have fallen if that was their sole focus. I guess all of western Europe just wasn't enough.
