only a miscer would think its better to drown a rabbit for a minute than smash its head in for a second

Don't be so hard on OP. He had good intentions in a moment of panic. Smashing it's head in would have been quicker but either way is brutal. In any case, it is done, and now OP is trying to help the baby bunnies.
OP, you should either raise them or give them to someone who will. Their mom is not going to take them back.
I used to have a rabbit. If you're wondering what they are like; they are cute but they smell, they shed, and they are pretty dumb. Overall, I found it pretty unrewarding to raise a rabbit. On the plus side, they can recognize you and show you simple affection (they purr like cats when you pet them and they will sit on or close to you), some of them can respond by name and learn simple tricks. You can potty train them to use cat litter as well.

OP google (out of interest on why) tells me " It is a myth that rabbits will abandon their babies once human beings have touched them."
"With rabbits, a common myth is that if you touch a baby rabbit the mother will no longer care for it. 9 times out of 10, the motherhandful of baby rabbits will return to care for the babies after they have been handled."
"If you happen to disturb a rabbit nest, go ahead and put the babies back (assuming they are uninjured). After placing them back in the nest, find two small twigs or sticks and cross those over the opening to the nest like the letter “X”. This will be your clue as to whether or not the mother has come back to feed the babies. The sticks will be pushed out of the way when she returns.
Be sure not to use too big of a stick where she has trouble getting back in. The mother should return within 24-48 hours and you will know because the twigs have been moved. "

I have 50 rabbits OP this is whats up: they are wild rabbits and since you touched the bunnies and disturbed the nest the mother will kill them if she comes back, which is unlikely. You got the choice of either raising them or eating them. If you want to raise them then I suggest you buy a cage and learn how to check their gender because they grow up fast and if you keep the together as boy and girl they're gonna start smashing and since they're brother and sister the mom is gonna kill the offspring. My first rabbit was the same size as the ones you found and was a wild one aswell, just randomly showed up in my yard no mother in sight and I ended up taking care of it after I saw it crawl into a pipe at night, scared as chit.

Just so everyone knows, touching the babies will not deter the mom from coming back.

So the dude that chopped and murdered their little brother scooped them up and stuffed them in a box?
Yeah, that wasn't traumatic and confusing at all. They're going to grow up to be psycho killer rabbits now.

reminds me of a baby pigeon i found on the the street, she looked so scared i couldn't leave her behind(fell from her nest and apparently had 0 injuries, the fall was 12 ft high aswell).
pics:
