Going to delete this thread but I created it after reading that "suicide rate" thread. I'm actually hoping a few specific questions get asked. Don't want this public (even though I'm anonymous) so will delete thread at some point.

Going to be a slight brag thread, my only intention is to let you know how I made it. I've been in the "made it" phase and don't feel too much of a need to brag to the misc, mostly a genuine thread. So.. here's my life.

- Grew up poor/poverty/FA, couldn't get girls as a young teen, anxiety, cheated on, broken home, no mentor, everything.
- Very painful childhood, most odds against me. Always said and thought I'd eventually be something.
- Dropped out of high school, tried a weak community college that was basically taking advantage of people (too young and dumb to realize it) failed that also at the very end. First half of my life I failed everything, surprised I made it through life at that point.
- Been a miscer for a looong time, almost 10 years, browse multiple times per week for entertainment.

Around 19 I started working out (right after finding misc) and my face started to mature, I ended up going from not all that good looking to a pretty good looking kid. First time in my life, I started to get attention from girls from it. That changed me a lot but I still had a lot of anger/anxiety/pain and issues in my life. Still.. my looks changing was huge to me because until age 17/18, I was completely FA. More so due to anxiety I had/couldn't approach. Finally... I was pulling and getting a lot. Loved that. Still hard, still made minimum wage.

- At 23/24 I had my lucky break. I had a low/entry level sales job and was very good at it, built a good resume and networked.
- Luckily got a dream job (right place, right time, luck and prepared/ambitious) started at 120k, half salary half commission.
- Over the next 2 years worked my way asking for raises/performing to a full 200k+ income.

Fast forward to current life:

- 27
- Have a house, with a huge quarter acre back yard, 3 bedrooms (just for me) in the most desirable city in my state near all my friends/where we grew up
- Professional career position, salary just about 100k/year, full benefits, commission another 100+ for a total just under $250k/year, which I'm actually hitting this year (first year over 200k income)
- I work from home with no supervision, work however many hours per week I want. Usually around 30
- Travel the country for free, about one 2-4 day trip every 1-2 months. Suit and tie business travel.
- Have a top model Maserati for fun
- Have a nice Cadillac for daily driver
- Hot GF who's successful & loyal (lol I think) and intelligent
- Buy toys whenever, zero debt, well on my way to a million in stocks/savings excluding physical assets
- Will be a full blown millionaire liquid without counting assets

That's basically made it status. Expecting genuine questions to kill your curiosity. Please no questions about what I do, it is a professional software sales position that any ambitious, professional person can get into with a few years/decade of effort.


Cliffs:
- Was a young FA miscer, poor, rough start to life, it sucked
- Now 28 and have most everything I could ask for
- Wanted to make thread to see if anyone wonders how I feel, waiting for questions
- Hope to get the message across that it's not nearly as hard as people think it might be

how do you deal with being so much more successful than your peers and childhood friends?

i'm having these "problems" where I have all the time and money in the world to do fun **** like spontaneous trips to Europe but most of my friends are either too busy with real life or have no $

also what are your principles when it comes to paying for **** for your friends? do you just go like "dont worry about it i gotz this guys" everytime?

Don't have the time to post much, but I went from living on the street to having two small businesses, putting myself through school even after bombing courses hard, improved my looks, became hard working, dedicated, developed my morals and figured out how to be a man. Bought everything I ever wanted (all the Playstation games I could never get, lol, nice bike, EVO, house, clothes), have hundreds of friends, dated tons of girls, travelled all over.

When I see miscer's crying about doing nothing and becoming nothing, especially when some are like 19 or 22, and all the other depressed dudes are just self-confirming all the negativity, it is sad....

World is yours, anything is possible. It isn't easy, but hard work pays off.

Right now I am in transition because without my true dream, I am still unfulfilled, soon I will leave to go chase that, and will probably not return to the misc.

Second part to that answer...and the most significant thing I can say in this thread,is that I always wonder why they don't ask me how. I'd bent over backwards (and often do) for friends if they asked for help. If they simply came up to me and said "Hey, how did you do it? Can you help me?" and actually TRIED, my mind would be blown.

I've never shown off my money or success until about 1-2 years ago. I always saved a lot and had money but only lately actually flexing it. Now... it's so weird that NOBODY asks how or for help. It's a little sad. Here's a life tip, men LOVE being mentors and helping others. So, if you have a real life person who's successful, don't be a *******. GO ASK for guidance. I simply don't understand it.

OP answer this for me: I know my product inside and out, and very attentive to the prospects needs, follow up when necessary, and am pretty relentless. i do everything i think I "should" be doing, however sometimes I lose out to the competing vendors. what could I do to improve based on that assessment? i'd love to make some more money but more importantly improve my value as an employee. it's just such a competitive market.

I'd say change your industry. Some markets are too saturated, it may be your industry limiting your success not you. Find some harder position and try to work your way into it.

What careers do you know of that make a lot of money, that are not sales, that can be started with one year or less of education/training?

I have a generic degree but my marketable skills are in an area I no longer want to work, so if I switch careers it'll be brand new. Still trying to find something not sales, trades or IT that can break 80k.

I mean change your niche. "software sales" is composed of hundreds of industries. Medical. Banking. Construction. There's software for everything inside software.

Pro tip, banking software is where the big bucks are at. Well they could be elsewhere also but I just can't vouch for them the way I can banking.

What would you say to an 18 year old who wants nothing more than to be in your position while still in his 20s? I've been told I'm intelligent and also a pretty personable guy, which id like to think is true. Also got into a good college I just want to get the most out of it, and I'm willing to do nothing but work hard for years to achieve this kind of success. I wouldn't normally do this but you said you liked mentoring people. Im young, I know I can go anywhere but I just wanna know the right first step to make it like this.
