Honestly, get good a coding what it may be... live javascript.
make sure all your work is on github, contribute to some projects, start applying.
Honestly, for anything technical like that, you either can or can't do the work. They just want to see your github.

40k/yr isn't that bad and it's a government job so you probably get a lot of benefits. Nursing is probably your best option out of those since it's pretty easy and quick. You could probably do the prereqs in 1-2 semesters and get into a 1 yr accelerated program since you already have a degree.

This is why you should have gone for a degree that can actually get you places, OP. I'm currently 29, 1st year of dental school (top 50 in the world). My debt at the very end will be $160k (from 4 degrees, and a grad diploma). I'll be able to pay it off just fine.

serious question...what the fuk is "liberal arts"...sounds like the biggest BS degree in existence
Breaking the two words down "liberal" and "arts"...initially its confusing as hell.
edit: finally googled it and I about sh*t my pants. Paying to have a degree in whats essentially gen ed. courses in depth. Guess you can be a teacher or maybe substitute
academic subjects such as literature, philosophy, mathematics, and social and physical sciences as distinct from professional and technical subjects.

I really am just stuck. I mean it's life over time.
You can't get out of student debt in bankruptcy or anything.
I'm just done.

This thread is depressing, did you know your grand parents didn't need a job to make a decent living? It seems like today you have to be -$60k deep just to feel like you done something right in life.

but please don't. Even if the prison looks nice in physical appearance, the atmosphere and people in the place will not be nice. It's not like you don't get bad Norwegians. You will probably be made a bitch by some hairy as viking like looking dude.

OP sounds like you have more problems than simply needing a better job. If you're contemplating killing yourself over work you need to look at things in perspective.
You are 30. Plenty of time to turn things around.
I would seriously advise joining the military or finding a field of work were there is a strong sense of brotherhood involved. I think it'd do you some good.

Pretty sure military has some loan repayment programs depending on your mos. I'd just go active duty if you really want to go back to school since you'll get a nice fat check to go to school once you get out after a couple years. National guard or reserves work too
