Btw if you're a dad.. teach your daughter to never get black out drunk (if you have one). Especially not at college with Brock's running around.

I'm going to predict plenty of Miscers have defended/will defend this guy because they're so wrapped up in their own sexual frustration it's completely eroded any semblance of rationality in their little heads. No point sticking around to argue with such folks, they're a lost cause

This case has got me ruffled like crazy, bunch of braindead sycophants jumping to conclusions about the context of people's questions as if they're a defense lawyer looking for loopholes instead of people just asking about the lead up to the attack.

Saying to a person 'don't get blackout drunk' is solid advice for any occasion. It isn't victim blaming, and isn't close to being on par with 'teach men don't rape'.

Maybe there's a reason it's common advice - and it's not all ignoring rape like you're implying.

2 witnesses found him behind a dumpster having sex with an unconscious woman. As they approached him he ran. The witnesses then ran him down and held him for police. Usually the best witnesses in any trial are uninterested or random stranger witnesses as they have no reason to lie.
My favorite part is the letter the Father wrote about his son, where he essentially said "super sorry he raped you or whatever, but now my son can't enjoy a good steak, which is the worst. THE WORST."

Got caught fingering a unconscious girl behind a dumpsters? That's just creepy and sad. Guy is sick no matter how you want to spin it lol.

Case in point: I reject drunk girls at parties when I'm sober because it's fuked up, despite being horny as a mfer. That Brock ******* is a scumbag, it isn't debatable, and people telling her not to get blackout drunk around people isn't the same thing as telling her 'don't get raped'. Those same people telling her 'don't get sloshed' are also condemning the ******* for taking advantage of a destroyed chick.

Idk, I was never told by my dad not to rape, something that was understood, like not robbing a bank(yes rape is worse, just trying to put some context around it)

Aside from the general injustice of the case and the light punishment for Brock, I want to say this:
-This girl took NO GENUINE RESPONSIBILITY for her actions that night. She is an IDIOT, just like Brock. Her 20 page letter of being a "victim" makes me want to throw up. If she was a poor immigrant and the drug she had used that night was heroin instead of alcohol, her story would sound RIDICULOUS. But guess what, because she's white and affluent, just like Brock, and the drug was socially acceptable, she can play the victim card. I'm shocked at Brock's punishment based on these facts. If she showed one ounce of remorse I'd be just as up in arms as everyone else. No man should rape a vulnerable woman under any circumstance, but drinking to the point of unconsciousness isn't going to help you. I personally know stories 100x worse than this one and the people just got on with their lives. But everyone involved in this case, including the judge and family members of the people involved, their life is ruined... why? Because of heavy alcohol consumption. Just like the 88,000 people who die of alcohol related deaths each year.
She's truly fortunate nothing worse happened to her, like getting behind the wheel of a car and killing other people. She could really help change peoples minds about drinking if she focused on that instead of focusing on being the victim of being fingered behind a dumpster by a drunk dude while she was blacked out.
In each day of our lives, men and women, we owe it to our self to be fully aware of ourselves and our actions. It's not just rape that can hurt you, it's a dangerous world out there. And being blacked out drunk is a sure-fire way to have sh*tty things happen to you.
Also, Brock's dad and everyone who chimes in on this publicly (including myself) is a complete and utter idiot. We weren't there, we weren't in the court room, we have no training in these matters, and we are all just stupid dumb fuks.

If you have ever been drunk, you are just as guilty as her.
I think it's fair enough to debate the harshness of the sentence (rehabilitation etc.), but to blame the girl is just retarded.

She is a victim.
That being said I agree she shouldn't have drank herself to the point of unconsciousness and that she's lucky nothing worse happened (though not sure how she could've drove unconscious so maybe that was a bad example). Hopefully she has learned from this.

The only fact is that we will never know what truly happened.
A) The kid was raping an unconscious woman.
or
B) In order to avoid being seen as the drunk girl that let a guy **** her behind a dumpster, she cried rape.

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

[BAnd being blacked out drunk is a sure-fire way to have sh*tty things happen to you.[/]
Also, Brock's dad and everyone who chimes in on this publicly (including myself) is a complete and utter idiot. We weren't there, we weren't in the court room, we have no training in these matters, and we are all just stupid dumb fuks.
/rant
Exactly what I thought when I saw like 30 people posting about it on FB yesterday... Fukin social media and the issue of the day that everyone forgets about a week later is annoying as hell
Glad I'm not a girl I would have been raped countless number of times. I got blackout drunk like every weekend in college.

That being said I agree she shouldn't have drank herself to the point of unconsciousness and that she's lucky nothing worse happened (though not sure how she could've drove unconscious so maybe that was a bad example). Hopefully she has learned from this.

Just like if you were completely blacked out drunk passed out on the ground and someone stole your wallet. You're the victim.
But do you have no responsibility in that situation? I'd say you certainly do.

What I'm saying is if you get blacked out drunk, horrible things are MUCH MORE likely to happen to you.

Maybe the dead body planned the whole thing. We should teach both things. Both of these kids made huge mistakes that night. Being blacked out drunk is a bad idea. She could have tried to drive home, she could have walked into traffic, she could have done a dangerous drug and died... literally 1000 things she could have done because she was unable to be aware of her own actions. This part angers me as much as Brock taking advantage of her. This case is so publicly one sided, and yet there are two sides to this story. How can we ignore both parts?
