This guy was not defending himself when being attacked. A brief time had passed and he became angered when she attempted to get in her car and leave. He prevented her from leaving and then assaulted her. That doesnt make what she did acceptable but this was not a case of self defense either. I could see both getting a 3rd degree simple assault case on this.
