Side note:
Two guys I knew from highschool/gym were racing another car in this industrial park by my house. I saw them at the local bar that night and went home; apparently they continued to drink at this local garage shop.
When they went racing they didn't stop and ran right into a gas line. Gas line blew up, catching their car on fire. I know of one guy in another car who was pulled out of it by his buddy who saw the thing happen, his leg is still badly burned.
The other two kids? Burned to death. No one really knows but I heard that the one was alive and didn't die on impact. But rather burned alive. Fukin sucks.

Was it a dumb decision? Yeep. Still sucks and is horrific for the sister. Well and of course him.
I would never make the choice they did at 31. But at 23? Who knows. I did some dumb ****. We all have.

Not gonna lie, when I first read this I was surprised at how hot these hot springs actually are. I guess I never really read about it or gave it much thought, but I was under the impression that these things werewayless hot. What a horrible way to go.

They didn't just walk a few metres off the path.... they wandered over 600ft away... in a highly dangerous area that's clearly marked.
If those are the kinds of things that you did when you were younger you're probably lucky to be alive right now.

Guess I'd honestly have to see what he did to decide how truly retarded it really is. Like to me it looks relatively flat and stable, I just assumed they went off the path to get a little closer to the pools and something gave way or he slipped on something that didn't at all appear unsafe to him.
Based off the photos I just feel you would be able to explore reasonably well and stay safe.
Still stand by the fact that we've all done stupid **** that could have cost us our lives though, at many points in our life. If you're even remotely adventurous.
I'd have to see what this kid really did though to judge his levels of stupidity.

looking at this video in HD i just dont even get where they ****ed off to or what they did. i mean the people stand pretty ****ing close to the big pool and there doesn't appear to be rails or anything.
the only thing i could think is he legit got right up beside the pool and somehow tripped. i guess the big pool closest to the parking area looks deeper, he coulda slid in there if he was climbing around on the rocks.
