boardwalk gets close as fark. Actually wonder what the risk is of the boardwalk getting damaged from the acid and collapsing. Would think it was carefully laid out though with how close it gets. The article said they were 225 yards away from the boardwalk... thats far as fuk, and he didnt really fall into the pool but more like the ground gave way he was walking on and just fell in. Theres no way of telling where its safe to step or not, dumb as fark to do

This. I use hydrochloric acid to clean my drains. Even that stuff takes a couple hours to just dissolve hair.

The water being 200+ degrees would have been more of a factor in the body not being recoverable. That, or the park rangers don't want to risk their lives looking for someone who is already gone and are just making up the "nothing to recover" thing.

This is really sad. Guy definitely didn't deserve to die. Because of lawsuits, places like Yellowstone have warning signs for stupid chit every 10 feet. Hard to differentiate the "this will likely kill you" warnings from the "hey someone tried suing us, so be aware the coffee is hot" warnings.

Sounds like they walked AWAY from the actual pool of water and the ground gave way. Shouldn't have been doing it, but i bet it didn't seem nearly as dangerous as it actually was.

They were 225 yards away from the boardwalk, which is really far. Now I dont know how far the edge of the earth is from the board walk but that is another possibility, that he walked off the planet.

Sulphuric acid will do the deed, right? It takes longer but it'll dissolve teeth and bones as well.

Sulfuric acid can completely liquify someone yeah, it just takes a while. This guy got boiled to death though. Then the acidic environment of the spring will do its deed with time and cuck his whole body

Yeah would take a while. I'm sure it would be heavily diluted too. One thing worth noting though is that sulfuric acid becomes much more corrosive as the temperature of the solution increases. Fair to say it wouldn't have been the most comfortable experience.

This, but lol @ thinking all sulfuric acids are the same. Sulfuric acid with molarity of 1 won't dissolve a body, but sulfuric acid with a molarity of 30. Oh boyo you're in trouble. The important point here is that the man will have died from drowning or the shock of boiling water far far faster than the time it would have taken for the acid to take effect.

Its very hard to find the right molarity that will disolve human tissue and bones and not dissolve the 55 gallon drum it comes in. Any advice brah? Its taking like 10 months right now which is too long.
