People who work out in jeans/chinos, usually in a polo shirt too. It basically says "I don't intend to exert myself whatsoever during this workout".

They usually then just swan around the gym playing on various machines and cables at ultra light weights.

And they're pretty much always Indian

honestly, anything 197lbs or under is borderline pathetic.

these people need to be exterminated so we pave way for elite benchers in the future like myself

I have absolutely no ill-feelings towards people with a "poverty bench". We all have to start somewhere, and I respect that they come in when it is likely that they feel insecure the whole time. It's easy to waltz into a gym and lift when you're big and strong.

That being said, IMHO a serious "poverty bench" is having a 1 rep max of less than 135. Everyone should be able to do that after a month or so of lifting regardless of genetics or build.

When I walk in at 5:30 or 6:00 AM, go to the squat rack and see some one left like 225 on the rack. That and the general dissaray people leave their weights in. Everyone was raised in a fricken barn.

-7 consecutive exercises in the cable cross.

-After set stand directly in front of equipment making notes on phone.

-Asking a 1% question when they clearly neglect the other 99% like "Should I drink half of my shake before workout and half after?".

-Being in a gym yet being completely oblivious to the fact that some people do multiple sets.

-"Trainer" telling everyone how to do everything incorrectly in an extremely loud voice.

When there is 1 squat rack in the gym and guys use it for shrugs/curs/RDL or if they are squatting and won't let you work in with them. If there is 1 squat rack you have to be a generous human being.

Guys who act all tough walking around. They grunt on every rep and walk like they're the most feared fighter in the world.

Kids that go to the gym everyday and look the same year after year. They do stupid chit and it bothers me. idk why

-powerlifter groups who come in during the middle of the day and hog all the racks and platforms, and take like 10 min rest talking about some bullchit in between sets. It's like cmon bro I got class in like an hour and this is the only time I can lift today.

-People who do exercises in the rack that could do it somewhere else (bent-rows, deadlifts, curls, light ohp,etc..)

In our gym we have a few that come in and do 5 consecutive front delt exercises. And before you ask, yes, 0 for rear deltoid.

I don't give two chits what someone benches or lifts on anything. as long as people are actually working out and not just hogging equipment to text/talk/kick it with their posse etc...

this notion that you have to lift a certain amount of weight is asinine. work w/ a weight you can handle, challenge/push yourself and get stronger. I see so many guys thinking they have to lift a certain amount of weight so the sacrifice form and look like absolute chit. guys doing calf raises w/ four plates w/ non existent calves b/c all they do is bounce up and down for 20 seconds, guys using 40+lb db's for lateral or bent over raises w/ non existent delts, guys shrugging 4 plates with chit traps b/c all the do is make faces in the mirror and the bar doesn't even move an inch etc...guys who can barley even bench a plate 'warming up' with a plate b/c their ego makes them think anything under a plate is pussy chit etc...

I mean benching w/ 2.5lbs on each side sounds like the guy could be sandbagging, but maybe that's all he can handle right now for whatever reason. maybe he's a noob, maybe he's coming back from a long layoff/injury etc...

The guys at mine don't give a ****, however, the manager is the biggest of **** I've ever come across. Has told me to stop deadlifting close to the mirror b/c I was going to shatter the glass. He asked me what exercise I was doing when I was doing rack pulls and told me I was going to break the safety bars or some chit. One day, i was warming up...and everytime I added more weight he'd tell me to quiet down and i just made sure to get louder and louder. I broke one of the 100 db's once by accident so hopefully cost his ass 200 bucks. i hate that ****er

Pisses me off so much because there aren't any plates left. Phucking *******s.

It actually ruins my breathing and I can't lift properly.

When I'm not lifting at my home gym, I use a small gym at work. Three benches, one cage, some machines. DBs to 100. You get the idea.

There is a guy who regularly uses a bench to put his stuff down on. Could be his towel and cup. Could be the DBs he's using for a movement that doesn't use the bench. Sometimes the other benches are taken by people actually using them. Annoying. He does move if I ask, but he seems really clueless about it.
Jesus is my lifting partner.
