People who work out in jeans/chinos, usually in a polo shirt too. It basically says "I don't intend to exert myself whatsoever during this workout".
They usually then just swan around the gym playing on various machines and cables at ultra light weights.
And they're pretty much always Indian

That being said, IMHO a serious "poverty bench" is having a 1 rep max of less than 135. Everyone should be able to do that after a month or so of lifting regardless of genetics or build.

When I walk in at 5:30 or 6:00 AM, go to the squat rack and see some one left like 225 on the rack. That and the general dissaray people leave their weights in. Everyone was raised in a fricken barn.

When there is 1 squat rack in the gym and guys use it for shrugs/curs/RDL or if they are squatting and won't let you work in with them. If there is 1 squat rack you have to be a generous human being.
Guys who act all tough walking around. They grunt on every rep and walk like they're the most feared fighter in the world.
Kids that go to the gym everyday and look the same year after year. They do stupid chit and it bothers me. idk why

-powerlifter groups who come in during the middle of the day and hog all the racks and platforms, and take like 10 min rest talking about some bullchit in between sets. It's like cmon bro I got class in like an hour and this is the only time I can lift today.
-People who do exercises in the rack that could do it somewhere else (bent-rows, deadlifts, curls, light ohp,etc..)

this notion that you have to lift a certain amount of weight is asinine. work w/ a weight you can handle, challenge/push yourself and get stronger. I see so many guys thinking they have to lift a certain amount of weight so the sacrifice form and look like absolute chit. guys doing calf raises w/ four plates w/ non existent calves b/c all they do is bounce up and down for 20 seconds, guys using 40+lb db's for lateral or bent over raises w/ non existent delts, guys shrugging 4 plates with chit traps b/c all the do is make faces in the mirror and the bar doesn't even move an inch etc...guys who can barley even bench a plate 'warming up' with a plate b/c their ego makes them think anything under a plate is pussy chit etc...
I mean benching w/ 2.5lbs on each side sounds like the guy could be sandbagging, but maybe that's all he can handle right now for whatever reason. maybe he's a noob, maybe he's coming back from a long layoff/injury etc...

When I'm not lifting at my home gym, I use a small gym at work. Three benches, one cage, some machines. DBs to 100. You get the idea.
There is a guy who regularly uses a bench to put his stuff down on. Could be his towel and cup. Could be the DBs he's using for a movement that doesn't use the bench. Sometimes the other benches are taken by people actually using them. Annoying. He does move if I ask, but he seems really clueless about it.
