From FL.

Can confirm gators are ALL OVER. I've seen them snatch pets, get ran over, get shot, I've eaten them, etc. They are alpha as phuck. Like a bear, north. This resort is not going to be at fault. So many ponds and lakes in FL, especially near resorts...and they have plenty of gators. Sry for this young 2yr. and his family. You visited dinosaur land.

Apparently the area was opened for movie night and the alligator came up and snatched the child. The father was able to jump in after or so I've read. How close to the water were they? So many questions.

I fear we know the outcome. I feel so sorry for the child and family.

Poor child, the parents must have noticed the child missing.

Lot of lakes/ponds standing water and the clue is there is nothing in it or on it. Anyone should be extremely cautious around that in FL, Georgia or the Carolina's.

In the Amazons areas especially ponds it's not just caymans but snakes hiding in the water.
