The latest update, according to TMZ:

"10:30 PM PST -- Cops say the 2-year-old was with his parents and siblings wading in about a foot of water when the attack happened. A rep for the Orange County Sheriff Department says the boy's father tried rescuing the child from the gator but was unsuccessful and suffered minor injuries.Cops say there are "no swimming" signs posted around the lagoon.It's estimated the gator was between 4-7ft long.
A rep for Disney added, "Everyone here at Walt Disney Resort is devastated by this tragic accident. Our priority is the family and we are doing everything we can to help law enforcement." The family was staying at the resort on vacation from Nebraska.
Florida Fish & Wildlife is currently trying to locate and trap the gator. Cops say they will not stop their search until they locate the child. update_grey_gray_barA 2-year-old child was snatched by an alligator and dragged into a lagoon at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Orlando, officials say ... and now cops are desperately searching the water.
Officials say the attack occurred around 9:30 PM ... when the gator pulled the child into the Seven Seas Lagoon -- a man-made lake located between the resort and Walt Disney World."

Dont have kids, but i cant even imagine how painful it must be to witnes your little kid getting dragged underwater by a gotdamn alligator. I just pictured one of my parents being dragged by a huge croc and it made me sick to my stomach srs, and they say the love for your kids beats any other love in the world. Jesusfukin christ, the parents will be on suicide watch 100% srs. Do not be surprised if one of them offs themselves.

Says they're looking for the kids remains....holy fuk can you imagine how devastating it'll be to FIND them? Can't even decide which would be worse, never seeing the body or having to see them fish the mangled, mostly eaten body of your 2 year old son out of a gator. Fuark.

On the flip side, at least we know that Disney isn't pushing these gators out of their natural habitat forcefully. So that's a plus I guess

With a good reason. What would shooting the alligator do now? The kid is already dead. Alligator did what alligators are created to do. You can't expect a carnivorous lizard not to eat. If you have to shoot the one responsible for this to feel better, shoot the kid's parents for being complete failures and letting this happen. Who lets their 2 year old to go around alone? They should be castrated so they don't make more children
