It's the dumb, retarded parents who are at fault. They should be sued for negligence or just lined up and executed via firing squad. Nothing makes me more angry than absolutely retarded parents whose actions ended up with their 2-year old dead in a horrible way. Eaten alive and drowned by an alligator. Absolutely reprehensible.

Have never made a mistake when parenting

somehow i dont see a problem with this
a very natural death
hidden story in this: Parks and Wildlife funding in the area was cut due to obamacare expenditure blowout, so less parks service people to keep the area safe.

What is required for safety nowadays? Strap these stupid parents into a gurney along with their kids attached to prevent them from doing stupid things? Just like that guy last week who fell in that hot spring by ignoring danger signs, just like that dumb mother ignoring her child with the Harambe gorilla and now you have parents who are too stupid to put 2 dots together and realize there are warnings for a reason.
Your job as a parent is to protect your children. This is just about as dumb as it gets. Can't even read signs and put 2 measly dots together. I understand that mistakes like this can happen, but you also have to realize how moronic you have to be to not know your surroundings.

How about use your own god dam common sense when your kids are in a dangerous area? You think engineers have all the time, money and effort in the world to come up with the safest environment?
The only thing they can do is mitigate risk......as in, we will make it as safe as we currently know how.....now the parents take over and secure their children.
Fuk you for being a chitty parent if you cant watch your kids......

if that beach picture is actually where it happened the resort should have had a fence up at night, or at the very least a warning from the front desk when they checked in.

It happened on a beach. Signs said NOTHING about alligators.

does not matter if the water looked like valhalla with 72 beautiful virgins waiting for you. People need to stop rationalizing why they are special and can break the rules and then crying about results afterwards. There were DO NOT SWIM signs because of DANGER. They willingly IGNORED them and encountered DANGER. The end.
Disney doesnt have to keep that water gator free because they never intended for people to swim in. They told them not to swim in, they warned them not swim in. Are you saying they have to destroy the beach front and may it ugly and drive away business because people cant understand a sign?

As a Midwesterner I wouldn't think gators would be a serious threat at a resort either. It's a foreign thought to someone from far away, you rabid posters might want to consider that.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his gods?
