That's just my own routine.

I'd just recommend getting the BHA/AHA and moisturizer for now.

This is what I use for exfoliation:

Anything that might help red blemishes/acne scars? I currently wash with cetaphil, use 10% glycolic AHA lotion 2x daily, and ~1x per week do a 10% glycolic acid peel and ACV/aztec. I haven't really noticed much difference, and was thinking of getting a stronger chemical peel/exfoliant?
teeth whitening because of misc crew
ACV and aztec clay because of misc crew

I'd also suggest Dermrolling 1mm once a month would help renew the cells too and get rid of the damages skin using cell turnover

dude, i used to be obsessed about my skin like you, then my skin magically became perfect. seriously, you are an idiot for wasting so much time and money. your skin will turn perfect within a few years. stop fretting. 99% of skin health is diet, exercise, and hydration when you exit the acne years. also, you waste so much money on chemical exfoliation when using a washcloth on the shower everyday literally solves all of your exfoliation problems.

strong skin knowledge lmao.

I guarantee your skin isn't perfect, please post a close up pic and prove me wrong. Lol at 99% of skin is diet. Shows how ignorant you are.

Oh and I'm not wasting money. I spend maybe 40 dollars every 5 months. Maybe that's a big amount for you, but not for me

any skin gains you have are out of the window considering your massive red blemishes. srry brah. plus, you use a derma roller at age 21, implying you actually have a skin obsession, which is sad considering your massive red marks.

the fact that you think your skin gains make up for a lack of facial hair 100% confirms you are a virgin. gain some weight, grow some hair, and live life.

One tip I can give on this topic is that if you're using AHAs or BHAs, it's best to wait 30 minutes between your moisturizer or other exfoliants. Those 30 minutes is when most of the effectiveness of the AHA/BHAs occurs. For example, cleanse your face, put on the AHA, wait 30 minutes, then put on your moisturizer.

I had sebaceous filaments (I thought they were whiteheads at the time) and that's what my dermatologist told me when he recommended that I use a chemical exfoliant. They're gone now, or at least not visible. I used Paula's Choice brand too. Did some research and the 30 minute wait is consistent with what most skin care obsessed people recommend on reddit, the subreddit was skincareaddiction or something like that.

I don't doubt the validity but I'll just add 1 solid moisturizer is enough if your lifestyle is in check. Sleeping well, minimal Sun exposure--just healthy level for vitamin D--, no smoking, no excessive alcohol/drugs, drink plenty of water daily--if you have to go to the toilet 7x a day then so be it, a balanced diet - plenty of greens etc. That and genetics will guide the rest, but that alone will probably knock off 10years+ on your looks during a lifetime. One tip for people going through bad acne that needs to always be repeated; I know its tempting but don't pop those zits at all.

I agree brah, but that alone is not enough. My guide I don't know if people are taking this thread the wrong way, but this thread is the ultimate aesthetic skin guide and I made this for people who want to achieve maximum skin aesthetics on par with Hollywood ageing (Tom Cruise, Dylan McDermott, Brad pitt, Rob Lowe) I will even say my guide will make you look better than these celebs once you're their age, because I highly doubt many of them even care about doing this type of routine.

I use cerave hydrating cleanser to moisturize and an exfoliator. But in my opinion there's no need to do this daily, only when needed. My skin looks flawless and I find moisturizing too much can be a bad thing,

95% of people don't need any of this chit. I am pretty sensitive to food and even I can keep my skin clear by drinking 2-3 liters of water a day and drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar per day. Also change ur sheets and wash ur face with cold water. Again, most of you won't need to buy ANY of that chit but there are some people who do need that stuff.

You're probably using too much. Mix it in with your moisturizer next time you use it.

First time I used it I used a pea size amount. Next day skin was fine so that night I used it, same amount, and ever since then my skin has been red and uneven as fuk cant even go out in public it's so bad. Should I wait until it sorts itself out or just keep using it every 4th day? (I did use moisturizer with it)

Lol @ those pics. Not trying to hate, but come on. You take two photos with a bright flash covering up most of your face?

It would be actually meaningful if you took up close photos in a normal light without a flash where you can actually see your skin.

Yea I kind of just stopped giving a chit about my acne like a year ago and only use a basic cleanser and a moisturizer, and ironically, it started to go away on it's own. I mean I get acne, but no where near the level I used to when I was 17/18.

I never exfoliate though. I'm probably just gonna buy a few washcloths and use those a couple times a week and see if it makes my skin a little smoother.

you failed to read the op which takes like few seconds. This isn't a skin care guide, its a guide to have perfect skin till you die. Failure to do this guide will only results in skin ageing and wrinkles. Many are okay with that, but I'm not.

Damn this thread is like a revelation to me. First of all, I never knew all these ****s I see outside with perfect skin probably use a bunch of products, I just thought I had ****ty genetics.

Second, I want to start taking care of my skin because I have AWFUL skin. I'm not a casanova or a Chad so I never really cared about my skin as it's not really noticeable from afar but if you are up close you can definitely see the ****ty skin and scars that I have. I still get acne here there and I do pop them

Third I don't understand any of the skin terminology used in this thread. Literally have no idea what the hell AHA/BHA or BB creams etc mean.

Help me brahs. I've never washed my face with a cleanser or soap or anything. I shower once a day and the warm water in the shower is all the washing I do to my face. Because I live in a very hot climate, I've been told to use sunscreen, so I've been using CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion (with 30 SPF Sunscreen). BUt that's it, that is all I use.

I definitely have the sebaceous filaments pictured in this thread (as I just found out). Also have the flaky skin as mentioned in this thread.

So help me brahs. What sort of routine should I start?

You actually can use them both at the same time if your skin can tolerate it. But yes they work in different ways, even AHA and BHA function a little bit differently. AHA breaks up the bonds between dead skin cells and retinoids increase the rate of cellular turn over. The only downside is increase risk of irritation.

How do I get rid of KP? Taking any and all recommendations (from soaps to lotions to vitamin)

My routine for the face is st Ives apricot scrub, sea breeze toner, and cerave am/pm corrisppondigly.

As for my body I use neutrogena facial soap all over my body and then amlactin lotion at night and cocoa butter at day.

Despite all of this I still have terrible KP all over

Purchased Paula's choice BHA and AHA and the Mandelic acid peel 25% because of this thread srs.

Old routine:

Morning:

Cetaphil face wash
Coconut oil

Evening:
Cetaphil face wash
Benzoyl peroxide 10% on acne
Vitamin c serum
Coconut oil

New routine:

Morning:

Cetaphil face wash
Paula's choice BHA (wait 20 minutes)
Benzoyl peroxide 10% on acne
Neutrogena moisturizer w/ SPF 35

Evening:

Cetaphil face wash
Paula's choice AHA (wait 20 minutes)
Vitamin C serum
Benzoyl peroxide as needed
Neutrogena moisturizer SPF 35

I'm using the Mandelic acid peel once a week and will derma roll once per month. I can't derma roll right now because I've been breaking out and I know not to derma roll with active acne. Thoughts, OP?

Edit: forgot to mention, Thayer's toner morning and night after face wash
