There is something wrong with:
1) The guy going into the garage
2) The guy coming back and knocking on the door later after already being told to leave, and leave now.
3) Not taking extra precautions after 1&2. Generally when people get freaked out by somebody, it's for a reason. Trust your gut (and in this case there are easily quantified reasons to be extra weary of the guy anyway)
They are cheap. Not inexpensive, cheap. *I never bought or used one* but I see plenty of reviews and feedback on holsters and am happy to have never spent money with aliengear.

Because what could happen in the driveway?
My wife NEVER carries--makes me a little vexed. Especially when she works in an area that can be a little sketchy if she's there late. I keep nudging her to give it a try . . . she's never carried once.

Kelly McGillis said she plans to apply for a concealed carry gun permit after she was assaulted by an intruder in her North Carolina home Friday, June 17. The actress, who is best known for playing Charlotte "Charlie" Blackwood in "Top Gun," recalled the scary incident in a recent ******** post.
"Upon entering the house I notice a pair of girls pink sandals and a black larger pair," McGillis wrote. At first, she thought it her daughter might be home and she called out several times for her.
"[But then] a stranger, a woman, came barreling down the hallway and began yelling at me. I asked her who she is and why she was in my house and she said 'you know why you've been stalking me in Twitter.' Not true."
The 58-year-old wrote that she keeps guns and ammunition in her home and was concerned one of the intruders had gotten a hold of them.

It's 2016. I wouldn't be very welcoming of a door-to-door salesman whether he had good intentions or not. Had to slam the door on some fuking jehovah witnesses a couple months ago.

A guy who enters the garage in that scenario and freaks her out and THEN comes back an hour later jumps to the top of the list as being a suspected psychopath not to be allowed anywhere near you or family, ever. That's just not right behavior, a normal person would be smart enough not to come back even if they were stupid enough to go into the garage to begin with

yh, I bet the 3k victims on 9/11 thought nothing was gonna happen that morning either. or the 50 dead in Orlando. I don't understand how people can willingly live in such naivety.
Also, friend of mine broke his leg during MCT and was recycled to a new platoon. Yesterday he was NJPd for being 10 minutes late for an athletic trainer appointment, idk if he got 45/45 or loss of rank. I feel for him but I lold.

I now have a Comp-Tac that I carry an XD9 sub compact in. It's obviously much easier to deal with, but it's also significantly smaller. Not that the leather backing of the Comp-Tac is necessarily uncomfortable, but I have to imagine the neoprene backing of the Alien Gear would feel better, especially on those hot summer days, if I had one for the more reasonable sized gun.USP is a decent sized weapon to carry for sure. Does it feel comfortable? aside form being bulky
But then everyone else, who likely have more experience with various holsters than me, seem to not care for them.

I hate this state. My AR is sitting at FFL but I can't pick it up because I moved a week ago and I don't have my updated license yet. I have to wait until I get my new license, go to the fukking sheriff's office, show it to them, and fill out a change of address in person. Only then, when both my concealed permit and drivers license match my permanent address, can I pick up the fukking gun.
May be the same in other states, I just think it sucks. And I've got two more guns coming in the next week.

When people ask me "Y U HEFF TO CARRY GUN?" this is the cliff notes of what I explain to them:
What does it cost me to carry a gun?
- It costs a bit of physical comfort. It's not entirely uncomfortable, but it's less comfortable than not carrying.
- It costs the USD$ it takes to purchase the firearm and other gear
- Ammo
- Training
- Time
That's really all it costs me. What is the return on that investment?
Guaranteed:
- Fun/entertainment/hobby aspect and all that comes along with that: friends, mental health, physical health, etc
My ROI is very damn well worth it on that part of the return alone. There are more expensive and less practical hobbies.
Potential return:
- Could save my life, loved ones' lives, or other people's lives.
The ROI on that is literally priceless.
I compare it to similar reasons why anyone would learn a martial art (BJJ/boxing/etc), "operating" is a martial art. IMO firearms aren't a costly investment, they have a guaranteed ROI that is well worth it to me. The potential ROI is priceless.

Anti-Gunner's response would be: "BUT YOUR GUN IS MEANT TO ONLY KILL PEOPLE. THAT'S WHAT IT'S FOR. WHY DO YOU NEED TO KILL PEOPLE? OR DO YOU JUST WANT TO INTIMIDATE PEOPLE? YOU HAVE A SMALL DIK."
what now?
RIP YGST

If they do, then I explain "Yes, firearms' purpose is to kill but as we have just discussed, there are cases where using a firearm to kill another human is necessary."
Then they'd probably counter with examples of (unjustified) murder with firearms and argue that should be factored into "what does it cost me to carry a firearm?". They'd argue that it costs society as a whole.
Then I'd counter with actual statistics to show that the cost really isn't that high. Then I'd argue the benefits (personal defense, tyranny safeguard) of society being able to possess firearms and that these outweigh the costs.
Also regarding "it costs society" it'd be difficult to not argue in support of anarchism there, "screw you and you wanting to control how I defend myself. Keep to yourself *******."
