Pretty much all people here are totally against refugees, because it does affect our lives. Even here in Berlin you see changes. You see the people traveling the metro. You do feel unsafe, especially as a woman. I always carry my pepper spray because I had some bad experience in the past. Walking the city late at night is being avoided by all girls. Too much has happened. Their culture doesn't fit here and that's the honest truth. We feel like prisoners in our own city. We have to worry about our children, because they're the most vulnerable. My nephew for example needs to take the metro to get to his school. He passes the stop where the so called Lageso is, which is the first stop for the refugees when they first arrive here. Every other day he tells us how some refugees "made a move" on him. And we are talking about men. The media showed us in the beginning that basically just families with kids come here. And they told us that all these people are super educated: doctors and professors and what not. But the truth is that it's 90% young men. They are filled with hormones and have no respect for police officers and especially women, because in their culture if a woman is dressed the western way (which means to us basically the normal way - no head scarf, a tshirt and shorts) she is free to get sexually assaulted or raped or whatever. It's just easy prey for them. And that's not ok! And besides that, no doctors or professors came, most of them cannot read or write, and therefore they are not educated

And if their culture wasn't enough, it's the government who ****s up majorly. They never really cared about their people and never invested in their own communities etc, but the refugees get all the benefits. It's totally not fair. For example daycare for your kids. You have to apply for a space for your kids before it's even born! Cause if you don't do so, you have to fear that you can't send your kid to daycare and then can't go to work. And it's not like it's free, no, you have to pay for it of course. The refugees come here and their kids get a space at daycare immediately. And they don't even pay for it.
Or another example, metro monthly tickets. When you work and need the metro to get to work you need to get a monthly ticket. That ticket costs you 75€ per month. The refugees get it for free. So not only do you have a pretty low paycheck because taxes are so freaking high, and your rent is more than high right now, so you barely can pay all you stuff, then you also have to pay 75€ per month for public transportation. The refugees get apartments and metro cards and all the other benefits, and then they behave like they are "at home" and disrespect the German people, German police officers and German women? There is something wrong.
I could go on forever about this, but I don't want to bore you with my opinion on that.
