Weird question...but does anyone wake up around suhoor time drenched in sweat during Ramadan?
Always striving to take it to the next level.

thank you! i don't really eat during suhur anyway - i just drink water. i'll have a ~800 calorie carb heavy iftar (8:30pm), go lift (9:30pm), and then another ~1,500 calorie meal filled with protein when i get home from the gym at about 11:00pm.

also i started cutting before ramadan, and continued to cut during ramadan. im down to a just-before-iftar weight of 190 now. when i started my cut i was a post-pee-n-poop morning weight of 200.

Yea. Probably because it's really starting to heat up where I am.

Recovery is soooo slooowww. The workouts I used to do without any soreness are now causing me massive DOMS.

Oh wow today was tough to say the least...studied after suhoor these past couple of days so I'm used to not sleeping until around sunrise or even a bit later; earlier today I had an exam at 8am, and another one at 4pm, so decided I wouldn't be able to sleep before the first one anyways and just went to it on no sleep - in between I went to my aunt's place to try and sleep but it was just too hot and her kids were making lots of noise so I didn't get any sleep all day until the last 2 hours before iftar.

Another night of studying before me, one last exam to go.

Also guys keep in mind that we're inthe last third of Ramadan. If you guys started the same day as me, today is night number 23, wednesday is 25 and friday is 27. all of these might be Laylatul Kadr (as well as 21/29) so do your best to make the best out of it - every little deed count when it's multiplied by x1000+

Thanks for the reminder brah. What I am personally doing for the last 10 days is sending some money through Islam Relief website every night after taraweeh (very very quick to do, so no excuses). That way I'm sure I'll get a good deed multiplied when the night of Laylatul Qadr is there.

Just a quick idea for all my muslim brothers, don't let Laylatul Qadr go to waste. May Allah reward you all for your efforts inshAllah

Insha'Allah.

I normally also fast the month of January to start the year off right.

What's the outlook on Eid. Tuesday or Wednesday? I'm hoping for Tuesday Insha'Allah.

Insha Allah me too,
I was also thinking that from now after this Ramadaan I could start fasting every monday and thursday or at least one of the days every week.

Ah maybe that explains the DOMS and joint pains?

***A reminder since we really don't know when Laylatul Qadr is it might be tonight or may be yet to come, keep the Ummah's state in your Du'as so that we have success here and in the next life more importantly. Wish i had a bunch of people to enjoy my iftar with :/ most of my family is in the balkans. Im in NYC. My USA cousins live a tiny bit too far to make iftars with them a daily thing (though we have had it together a couple times).

Felt a little sad a few times this month eating iftar alone. Miss having it back home overseas with 10+ people all together.

I have some muslim friends that i met up with a few times, and some nice non-muslim ones that came out to dinner with me at sunset, so that was nice.

You should try going to the closest Mosque to you, they should be doing iftar there daily.

I feel you brah... do you have a muslim association in the nearest university in your city maybe? usually they organise iftars quite often. at least it's like that here in a couple of canadian cities

btw where are you from from the balkans ?

Im albanian. Dads from kosova, moms from macedonia (western side where its mostly albanian). Good idea on the uni muslim association, i should have done that. Also should have checked out a mosque for iftar.

Im confused brahs, idn if eid is tomorrow or not. My family is celebrating it tomorrow, but i dont want to miss a day of fasting. On the flip side, if eid really is tomorrow, i dont want to fast on eid as thats prohibited as well.

The calendar i was given had me fasting on june 6th (meaning i had suhur around 3:30am on the dawn of june 6th) and says that today (july 4th) is the final day of fasting. Thats 29 days total of fasting. Mom is planning on taking me out to celebrate tomorrow, not sure if i should tell her to wait another day.

29 days for me, Eid prayer is in less than 2 hours

is the mosque you're going to praying eid tomorrow?

pretty sure all of macedonia/albania is following the same mezheb(or using calculations) as we are and they're praying eid today (or tomorrow for you) - either way honestly I'd go with what your mosque/family does

My family overseas in the balkans and here in USA are celebrating it tomorrow. But im wondering if its "religiously correct" for me to celebrate it tomorrow in USA when the new moon isnt sighted in USA until wednesday.

Ill probably celebrate tomorrow i guess

Back in Bosnia everybody is celebrating Eid tomorrow inshAllah. However here in Canada we are still fasting (on july 5th), so i would suggest you to follow what the muslims in the country you live in do.

Turns out i was sick today, but got even sicker tonight. I wont fast tomorrow anyway! i'll celebrate eid after tomorrow, and make up this day of fasting after that inshallah. Funny how it worked out for me.

My mom was pretty annoyed i told her eid should be wednesday over here in NYC. She searched it up and goes "nope, im reading here on an albanian website and its tuesday." I said correct, in albania its on tuesday. But we are not in albania! My whole family that resides in USA is celebrating it tuesday anyway :/
