I knew my generation sucked and was entitled af but damn. I can't even imagine.

We had a school nearby in high school where teachers weren't even allowed to yell at their students (14-18 years old) because it could hurt their feelings

You realize if you born before 1982 you are technically a millennial. Classifying a entire generation of people as being spoiled their while lives is BS. Blaming the SJW college scene is BS. There are ****ty people in every generation just because it is so prevalent now with social media doesn't make it any more less of an issue. You think the greatest generation were happy with hippies or draft dodgers or baby boomers were happy with the anti-establishment movement. It is all circular and every generation seems hate the one that comes after it.

I asked one of the millennials at my work to take on an extra responsibility. The millennial refused and said it wasnt part of their job.

A new managing job opened a few months later and the millennial applied. The millennial did not get the job and wanted an explanation

I let the millennial know that the they lacked the skills required for the position and that the responsibilities they refused a few months prior would have given them the skills they would have needed for the position. I wasnt being vindictive but rather 100% truthful.

The millennial just Bert stared me without saying a word. I'm not sure they ever connected the dots....

What worries me are these current SJW college students studying to become teachers.
I can't even imagine what they will teach their students once they become a teacher.
What the outcome will be of those future students???

This. Had a job before where they did the whole stand up meeting every morning thing. As someone else said it's almost childish and demeaning gathering around in a circle like a bunch of school children. Realistically are we going to pretend that a meeting can't be conducted with people being comfortable, as long as they are visible and engaged?

I wouldn't wanna stand around in a gay circle anyways. Why would I wanna work for a company that does that bull****?

The thing is, you know if they do standing meetings, they're going to be full of corporate bullchit. It's a huge giant red flag that this company is gay as **** and is going make your life miserable. That **** is soul sucking.

He's a computer science major. He has options for employment. He can afford to keep his soul, aka telling you F off when you tell him to do soul sucking bullchit, and still find another employer.

Enjoy being a corporate zombie.

It's a small meeting. Maybe about 5-10 minutes long, if that.

Most places have people sitting apart from each other and they come together at someones desk for the scrum. Which entails the standing aspect of it.

Basically. If you can stand in the break room, farting around the water cooler talking about GOT. Then you can stand for the 5 minutes to tell people what you did the day before in scrum.
