And his last and most aggregious crime? Obstructing a cops investigation and resisting arrest which lead to his death.

All he had to do was comply, and he would still be alive.

So many dumb celebrities and other people can't wrap their head around this.

It isn't a race issue at all. Any person fighting with cops while armed has a high likelihood to get killed. The cops aren't thinking race at that matter. To assume they are and they are racist is textbook ignorance.

Still love how the famous people post all these stupid pictures/posts on social media now, but never say a damn thing when a cop is killed.

Why do people defend this man? Failure to register as a sex offender and the multiple felonies speak loud enough of what type of person he was, justice was served by his own hands.

Lol. Media completely sweeps his criminal record under the rug because it messes up their agenda. Just like the lasting image you see of Trayvon Martin was a pic of when he was 12.

so what did the man in Minnesota do to deserve being killed? No criminal record, which misc thinks is worthy of vigilante execution, not resisting, pulled over for a broken taillight, reaching for his wallet and shot multiple times. How do you defend that. I consider myself conservative, and unbiased, but I don't think the police are infallible, like 95% of the misc does.

Seems very, very, simple to me. Yet we see these situations over and over and over again. Baffling to me.

Don't know much about this one, but from what I've seen, looking like absolute cold-blooded murder. Cop's going to Prison on this one, I'd bet.

Saw the president giving a big speech about how cops are terrible.

when certain people kill whole buildings full of people then he says dont rush to judgement.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

it's the police state's fault he has all those charges. try living his life and see if you don't get arrested a few times.

using that reasoning, any cop can kill the person they are arresting, and in the absence of videotape, claim the suspect was resisting. Being a pain in the ass doesn't warrant lethal force. I support the police in most cases, but I realize that absolute power can be very dangerous.

I don't think a cop can't do wrong. The cop who shot the guy in SC who was running away was very wrong.

I think it's wrong to make every damn one of these a race issue. The liberal media and celebrities, who the average idiot worships, turn these into race issues when they don't need to be. What about white cops getting killed by black people? Or black people killing each other in Chicago? Why is every white cop racist if a black person is shot? Are the media and scumbag celebrities mind readers? They know these two cops just left a klan meeting and were waiting to kill a black man?

OP said nothing of the sort. It was in response to the lawyer's statement.

I think the cops knew he had a gun on him and was resisting arrest, though.

Resisting arrest =/= resisting arrest while having a gun on your person

My only contention with your post is the bold. If the cop in Minnesota shot that guy and did so because he thought it the right thing to do (fear for his life, whatever) "shot multiple times" is a rhetorical multiplier in your language. If you ever shoot someone in self-defense, it SHOULD be multiple times. Unless you hit the CNS, people don't drop from 1 bullet. Ending the threat requires more than one shot.

That notwithstanding, that officer appears to have killed a man unjustly despite what he may have been feeling/thinking. I guess time will tell as the evidence is presented.

my mom knew a guy who was killed by police about 15 years ago. Guess he was having some kind of argument with his wife, cops were called, he grabbed a knife out of desperation, not threatening anyone, just holding it (no violent history) and I guess there was a standoff and he was shot dead. Had no criminal background, just had a mental lapse in reasoning, and that was it.
