Turns out it was an ar-15, not a shotgun. The sparks really look like shotgun spread, but you see him tossing spent mags before the cop shows up on his rear.

The video from the other angle shows him shooting at police cars in the intersection where 3-4 cops are down, then the cop you see get killed tried to back flank the shooter, missed his shots, and after losing the surprise element and they faced off.

Just watched a video of one of the shooters on foot. The guy was not just some BLM thug with a gun. He was wearing a flak, face covered, and the way he moved on target. He knew the cop was behind cover, so he suppressed, moved and executed. Definitely someone with training
