This is the common notion that black folks don't protest black on black crime but they do. You just do not see it in the media. Most black folks are fed up with the black on black violence after all its black folks being killed.

I am really confused as to why it is so hard to understand

1. Black man shoots black man and its recorded he gets life in prison he has his day in court

2. Cop shoots black men and its recorded, there is justification, even when the is no weapon. Sometimes cop does not even get indicted. People have to protest just to get an investigation

3. Cops stop black more simply because they are black. Riding a nice expensive car, hmmm let me stop them.

4. Cops senselessly shoot other races too, so what? does that mean its okay? Should black folks say okay its not just us.

5. Saying cops shoot more whites without looking at the percentage is just stupid

6. The problem is we have given the cops too much power and rights, they say jump you have to say how high? even when they are abusing their power.

7. Black men get harsher sentences , white boys get off because of affluenza.

As for justifying it, idk how truthful this is but they see it as this; when a cop kills an unarmed white guy they go to jail. When they kill an unarmed black guy they get a paid vacation. Not so much the killing but the getting away with it that gets too them.

If a group of people are complaining, you listen to them, you don't just discredit what they are saying. It won't change their beliefs, they get angry. Cops probably have some good points too so why not sit down and work together, put ego asides. How many kids lost their dads this week, both black and white. For what....???

Yet they can get mass shooters in handcuffs. The way the police treated that white kid after he shot up the blacks folks was such an insult, man was in bulletproof vest, not a scratch.

When they're that stupid and the complaints are that sh*tty, no ones going to take the time to listen to their bullsh*t

Not every opinion is a good one, and not every person, black or white, is someone deserving of ANY sympathy when their scummy ways are permanently ended

OP, the flaw in this thread is that there are too many BLM factions to get a true answer for what they stand for. On one spectrum you have some peaceful BLM groups that are simply fighting to get cops to wear cameras in their city and then on the other end of the spectrum you have some of the more radical that are also New Black Panther members and member of the Nation of Islam that literally want to kill white people. The crazier groups are going to be the most vocal so now everyone thinks one crazy black lady promoting black people to kill white people represents the entirety of the movement.

So what is your solution? keep telling them their beliefs are false? Has it stopped them? We need solutions from both sides.
The guy who got shot in the car so far all I have seen are minor traffic offences, nothing criminal. Even if he had, does it justify killing him in front of his kid? If we were to go by his girlfriend accounts of the events?

For 1 & 2. But there are already cases where if a cops action is unjustified, they get sent to jail. There are investigations behind their actions. If it was deemed a proper reaction then they don't go to court. So it's upsetting because people don't think the police are getting fair trials?

3. I can't comment on that. I only hear about that from the people getting pulled over. Which is pretty anecdotal

For 4 & 5, I already addressed in the OP. It's not a systematic racist thing but the fact that they just happen to be putting themselves in that situation more.

7 was addressed above too. That ones because of their previous offensives. Unless you have a study proving that it's not

But with 6, that's what I'm looking for, the origin of the cause. So the issue is a police issue and not a race issue. So why did it become a race issue if it's not. Every race feels it, blacks just feel it at a higher density because they put themselves in that situation (in OP.) We should focus on the real issue and not some media driven idea. It's only increasing public tension and dividing people more.

As a black male, I believe BLM is mostly a media/emotion fueled movement which has been far overblown. Unjust treatment of individuals of various ethnic backgrounds has certainly happened, both on and off camera far longer than the past couple of years. The media has simply taken and ran with BLM and showcased more of the black cases. However, I've noticed that blacks are typically looked at as "thugs" more often. Why? It's simple; we cater to the image that has been projected upon us.

Growing up in the suburbs, I've never had a problem with being profiled, because I come off as a respectable human being. I'm sure I'd be looked at as a "thug" if I sagged, wore a grill, talked "hood," and lived in an impoverished neighborhood. This doesn't mean that it's ok to profile someone based on their appearance or the way that they talk, but it is a fact of the matter and won't change regardless of BLM or any other movement.

It's 100% based on emotions... It makes absolutely no difference to them if you give solid evidence contrary to their opinions.BLM activists as a whole are too unbelievably stupid to even notice the shallowness of their emotional "arguments".
What if they do and just don't care? They still get their way, can block highways, interrupt classes at colleges and assault people who don't share their opinion and still not get prosecuted for that. It gets them media coverage and they are taken serious and even receive praise from YOUR president. Why should they change their methods if it works so great for them?`

Maybe you shouldn't call them stupid and realize they are outsmarting you right now.

I think 7 also has some to do with education and income level. More educated/more money you make, the less likely you are to commit the crime again which gets you a lesser punishment.

Because "black on black" crime doesn't exist. It's a term made up by people that don't realize it's poor on poor crime, not black on black

I agree to some point as well. But there are full out racist cops out there don't kid yourselves. That is how OJ got off really. Folks didn't trust that racist cop. OJ was guilty asf.

But there are alot of good one as well. I remember when I was 19 and involved in a domestic incident, it was self defense but the other person had a scratch, cops were gonna take me away. Person changed their mind and the cops took me outside and said, a bunch of good stuff including you are in university you have a job, leave. I never look back.

There dirty cops of all races and good cops. Just like good black men and bad ones.
Something has to change. America should be ahead of this now.

1. Usually the culmination of a history of criminal activity.

2. Yeah, that's bull****, and it does happen to every race.

3. Bull**** as well, there's no excuse.

4. No, black folks should not say its ok, but they also shouldn't be treating "whitey" like the de facto enemy. All sorts of poor white folks out there basically in the same situation.

5. No, it really isn't when you look at crime rates.

6. Yeah, its more like the gestapo nowadays than "protect and serve". Paramilitary police forces are not the answer.

7. Oh yeah, my poor white ass totally gets a free ride because of "affluenza". What a b.s. talking point.

Don't resist arrest, don't commit crimes. It won't completely alleviate the problem as lots of innocent HUMANS are still executed for no good reason by inept law enforcement but it would at least be the start of something. It would accomplish a lot more than flipping the F out and rioting/looting and giving the world more of a reason to see blacks as the generally dangerous element they can be unrightly perceived as.

Instead of looking at it as blacks attacking whites, you should be looking at income levels and correlation with crimes committed. Your looking at this from a judgmental perspective from the start

Yeah I agree that there are too many factions to get a straight answer. But I'm pretty sure they all have the same core reason which i think i I figured it out. I think the core reason is cops. But the media made it look like a race thing and the average American isn't smart enough to research it self so they took it as a race thing and made it a race bait movement.

And race is such an emotional thing that I think it's near impossible to correct their thought process now unless you have medias backing. Which you can't get unless you have money. So I don't think the movement will ever die out.

In one sentence: it was supposed to be a problem with police but media made it look like race, thus blm was born

But then, I think the counter argument to that would be that I'm not black So I don't know the struggle they deal with so whatever I'm saying has no bearing. So then a black guy would have to look what I say, see if he agrees and then say it himself. But then BLMers will probably say he's betraying their race.

That is true on first offense also, even simply things like marijuana possession. They get longer sentences. Wasn't there some judge that got charged because he was getting money to send more folks to private prisons.

Black folks need to take some accountability too no excuses for their behavior as well. But when you go into jail for petty stuff that another might just get community service for that is unfair. You have a criminal record, can't get a good job, you learn worse stuff in prison.
When you live in these neighborhoods, you gotta fit in. Gotta look tough. "like a thug"

How to make things better:

1) All police officers wear body cameras while on duty. Camera must 100% of the time be on during any contact/stop with a person on the street. Failure to do so involves fine for officer. Failure to have camera on or "oops, destroyed the evidence" after a shooting results in prison time.

2) END THE WAR ON DRUGS. Putting black kid in jail for weed puts him in the system. Once he's in the system, it's just a repeat until he ends up 25+ years or dead. Stop pulling them over and then booking them for having weed. A lot of states already ended this but a lot haven't.

3) Complete overhaul of the police training system. Police academy should be a 2 year program that has focus on everything from civil rights history, psychology, sociology of mental illness, adaptive physical education (can't tell a person to do X, Y or Z if they have certain physical limitations) and so on. Extensive firearms training and shoot/no shoot scenarios. By extensive, I mean every week. Some of these people graduate from the police academy and don't know how to properly use a firearm. Yes, it's true so don't even bother arguing that it's not.

^-----I think those systems would be the best start. Number 1 is on the way. Number 2 is never going to happen, ever. Too much money for the government and private prisons to change. Number 3 will never happen either because of pure arrogance. If you go to some European countries, police officers are all fit, educated, extensively trained and then you go to cities in the US and see some fat sack of **** who spent 6 months in some crappy academy where 50% of it was memorizing radio code and you wonder why these guys can't handle stressful situations. There needs to be department funded candidates that pay people to get their badge just like the military pays recruits in basic training. These people need to not have jobs outside of training and they need to spend a long time going through training to be good at what they're doing. You can't put someone on the street and expect them to be good at their job without the proper training. The fact that extensive study of mental illness alone isn't a part of training is mind blowing in itself.

The point is if white people/Indians what ever race you want lives in the ghetto they are going to grow up in a hostile environment= more crimes
I don't think people are naturally born with a moral compass, they learn from their environment
Also black people went from being slaves to starting at the bottom of society with bad schools, living in a racist nation. Just connect the dots, if you think skin color is the defining factor I got some bad news

It's 100% based on emotions... It makes absolutely no difference to them if you give solid evidence contrary to their opinions. BLM activists as a whole are too unbelievably stupid to even notice the shallowness of their emotional "arguments".
Completely agree with this post. When they're met with logic they just say something stupid and somehow believe that they've made a valid point.

I don't understand what's so hard to get?

We have many issues in this country, some of the are the following:

- Black on black crime
- Police brutality which happens to all races
- Blacks commit more crimes than other races per capita
- Blacks are incarcerated at a higher rate per capita
- Blacks are victims of police brutality at a higher rate per capita

BLM is addresing one specific issue here. It doesn't mean they all disagree with the other issues, it doesn't mean they agree. It sure as hell doesn't mean they are right about all their points, or that they are intelligent and competent. But it does mean they're addressing one specific topic and that's okay.

There are charities that address specific topics, i.e. breast cancer. It doesn't mean those people are insensitive to or unaware of other topics such as diabetes or childhood obesity. It's just that a specific organization is targeting one issue among many.

Do you believe the culture of a race impacts the behavior of the members of that race?

Will a person typically structure their individual behavior as to be consistent with their race's culture?

I definitely agree with number one. It'll reduce that confusions of whether something was justified or not. It'll keep both sides happy.

Number two I don't know enough about. Because you really have to think deep about what drugs do to a communityand if you want it in there. And if it's legal, would usage drop, stay the same or increase? And if it increases, how would it effect the countries progression and economy? I don't mean the soft drugs but the hardcore drugs like heroine and other addictive ****.

But then, at the same time, some of my friends do the hard **** and the random person will never know. I'm talking about hardcore addicted. They're working class people, get their job done, go out and party then return home like nothing ever happened. They don't commit crimes or anything.

For weed, I don't even know why it's illegal. It's starting to be decriminalized in some states though. And I definitely do think it'll stop the ball from rolling like you said.

For number three,I agree. I don't know about two years but six months is way too short to teach somebody as much as they need to know to throw them on the street. I don't want to name the state but a few of my friends graduated the academy and they do cover a lot of mock situations. But I'm pretty sure they don't cover the emotional **** you see. It's the "no time to think" situations that the media is covered that I think needs to be worked on more. But then again, I can't comment unless i know what they're curriculum is and civilians don't get access to that. But to make somebody study books for six months then them into the murder capital of your state(happened to my friend) is too much

Woah bro that's racist af

Hispanics are statistically just as poverty as blacks in America, have the same population %, and yet their violent crime rate is much lower. Not to mention all the illegals that are most likely not included in the total population numbers I looked up, driving their violent crime % down further

I'm sure this all just a coincidence though

Just like the OJ case. You could give the indisputable evidence that OJ killed his wife such as blood of both victims in his Bronco, his house, matching shoe trace marks found on the crime scene etc but they already had their mind made up that he was innocent just because he was black
