Whenever he's needed, he's never there. Dude just cemented his lack of significance to the team.

Agree with op. He has now won at both international and club levels. Winning at international level was the only thing he had left to do.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest player of all-time.

Not a fan of Ronaldo but after watching tonight's game, I felt that he really deserved to win.

I bet most people thought Ronaldo would destroy the change room when he got injured, pack his bag and return to the hotel.
Instead, he chose to watch the whole game. He chose to stand up and motivate his team. He chose to act like a manager. He cheered for his team. Non stop.
Yet, people call him arrogant.
I will no longer criticize him for his behavior on pitch after what he did and realizing that he wants to win so badly like everybody else.
He will no doubt be called a legend and will be missed once he retire. Meanwhile, the tax fraud Messi won't after what he did, he lost all respect for retiring and not paying tax.

I think it was well deserved, to manage to go to the next round without winning even once in the group stage. Even though they underperformed, they somehow managed to go all the way. This time he cried without having Greece involved, haha.

ronaldo didn't even preform well in the world cup. he is the best player of this generation , and MAYBE top 5 of all time. However, he is top 10 for sure.

Dude legitimately joined back to back to back Italian champions who just came off a CL Final defeat the (year or 2 years before) and made them worse. Ronaldo is just an overrated poacher in this point in his career. It's humiliating to watch. Probably won't even win the Italian league this year although Juve spent $117.15m on players brought in last summer. He joined A squad that scored 85+ goals in consecutive seasons and with The overrated kunt can barely score over 70 league goals a year. Juventus looked more dynamic with Higuain and dybala up front than with any combination along side Ronaldo.
No excuses. Pathetic display fron him today from supposedly the "GrEaTeSt Of AlL tImE"
Previous years it was Ajax, Lyon, Uruguay, and now 10 man Porto lmao. Losing the league as well when Juventus used to walk it every year.

I personally think he has been marketed very very well. You must understand that he has a very good physical look so many people will follow him partially for that reason. Look at Beckham for example. Not that great but made greater than he was.
Having said that, we cant take away how prolific Ronaldo is. He is a great player. He scores goals and lots of them. However, thats not the only thing that matters. Where you could have scored 1 and played with the team and allowed them to score 2 more, you've gone on and taken 10 shots and scored 2. Yes individual stats but takes away from the team IMO. he has great individual output but at the cost of the team, at least atthis stage of his career anyway.
Sipping tea B.C.
