My name is so plain, and uncommon but not uncommon enough to read. It's like, no one is named Andrea ever. I had this one ex say my name sounded like a kidnapping/ murder victim...he was an *******.

almost, it's spelled Zaccaria. teachers hated me

Have yet to meet another Zaccaria/Zechariah/Zachariah..only Zachary's and Zachs. and the very rare Zachry (u w0t)

also pretty sure my parents were just dicking around when they named me and my brothers. Oldest is Ramsey, after egyptian god. Then Adam, after the obvious Adam. and then there's me..all the way at the end of the alphabet.

Never run into anyone else (my age) w/ my name, lol.

When we named shrimp, we were considering two names.
Didn't know anyone with either name.
'Til after shrimp was born.
The name we opted not to use, see it all the time now. (His father's friend who was pregnant at the same actually named their kid this ... )
We've seen a few other kids w/ his name, but their parents tend to use funky ass spellings so it still works out.

aware. I can understand cultural/regional/geographical differences, for example my gf's sister is named Suzanna, pronounces it Suzahnna, not the redneck country "Oh, Suzanna" song pronunciation, since I guess the first way is more common in Sweden, and that's how her parents/grandparents always pronounced it. But I think it's pointless when people try to change the pronunciation based on one letter just to be different.

have also gotten into argument about how to pronounce my name..people will say "well if it's pronounced like Zachariah, why isn't it spelled that way?"

i don't fkn know, let me call my parents and ask for you real quick.

although, according to my dad, there is a proper arabic pronunciation that is slightly different. but I don't use that pronunciation because my name is confusing enough as it is
