do you feel a good connection with the UK? I feel japan and the UK should be similar nations as we both live on small islands but went on dominate large parts of the world. Our wooden ships were the best though.

I dated a half English half Japanese girl who was raised in Japan then moved to bournemouth as a teenager--when we were 19, she had a roommate (guy in his 40s) who would call her room at 5am, and tell her his back was sore, ask her to come in and give him a back massage.

And, I chit you not, she did it. 3 or 4 days a week.

When I found out about this nonsense, I raged and I told her to stop doing that, and she did, but I never understood why she would agree to such a thing in the first place.

Please explain why she would do something so selfless and stupid? Is it a cultural thing? Could you see a lot of Japanese women doing the same stupid chit in this situation?
