The last shooting in Paris was 130+. This is 70+. My guess is it's actually harder to carry out then the plans you have in your mind

This is not a political post, or conservatives vs libs tirade...Some may feel this is not the right time for this rant, but I think it's the perfect time...

Almost no one, esp libs, gave any fuk when it was my brothers-in-arms getting slaughtered by these fuks in Afghanistan/Iraq for so many years. We soldiers were alone (support our troops ribbons do NOT fuking count) and accused of being war-mongers who got what we deserved.

Maybe now the western world will understand those attacks on battlefields and ones like this one in Nice come from the same place-"radical" Islamists hate of all of us, and the fact we're in this together. Because people forgot 9/11 once we invaded Afghanistan and support turned into an anti-military, anti-US hegemony movement.

This was inevitable long before 9/11. The only thing we accomplished in those wars was keeping the fight in their backyard instead of ours. Now that the wars are all but over, the chickens have come home to roost. We all own this, and have to sort it out together.

May the victims rest in peace and may their loved ones know we send our love.

Not sure, at least 1 person killed. People report multiple gunmen, and 1 or 2 ran away, but this is unreliable. Everyone was scrambling. There was an exchange of gunfire with at least 1 gunman and police, that is confirmed I think.

This. The truck here was filled with weapon and grenade so we can imagine that the original plan was to drive through the crown with the truck and then go out and murder people in the street with the riffles and the grenade.
