Doing some things doesn't make you a stable person.

Again, you've got Bruce Jenner. Everyone thought he was awesome, women thought him handsome, he's the greatest, etc and all of it motivated because he felt like a bitch. Then, he wants to be a woman deep inside the whole time.

Just as I've said about tats displaying the opposite of who you are, the same goes for ultra macho and accomplished guys. All of that may be driven by the opposite of how they feel. Maybe not too, but you can't judge someone as being a "real man" or whatever because they were in the military, own a motorcycle, or any of that surface crap.

You're being obtuse -- a typical defense response. Not to mention you as in some others are making his case. Thus far, nothing he has said can't be confirmed in the professional community. In you disagree, challenge them, not the messengers. That said, petty squabbles are not suppose to be a part of the equation.

On more thing, bodybuilding as it relates is not that far removed. Synthol, is a good example of taking this thing too far.

How so? You and him are the ones making this claim, but no one has substantiated yet. Just saying something like this is true doesn't actually make it true. And even if you could prove it, you would have to allow for individual variability, which you guys don't.

He didn't just make this stuff up. In fact, most of it is easily attainable and virtually come from Psychology 101. And just for you, its also applicable beyond just having tattoos.
And even if you could prove it, you would have to allow for individual variability, which you guys don't.
That's true with most scientific study. It typically doesn't need to be mentioned.

Tats aren't my thing, but they're hardly a sign of a low IQ or betaness. Are there a lot of ****ty tattoos out there? Yes. Are there plenty of otherwise regular people who use tattoos for self-expression? Definitely.

I have no idea what that has to do with the topic.

However, I have done all kinds of stuff in my life and more than 99% of most people. But, still, all the stuff I've done doesn't mean anything. What is true about me, or anyone, is WHY I do the things I do, not what I do.

That is the point and original topic of the thread.

I think it's very interesting that you have guys who bodybuild, do roids to look perfect, have low body fat to be ripped, and then get tats to cover it all up.

Synthol tends to look terrible and is a bizarre shortcut, but then what I just mentioned is someone that had success with bodybuilding, then mess it up with tats. I'm reminded on that Rich Piana guy. He's obviously done everything, got huge, and now has so many blobby tats you can't see his development.

Dude, then just remain a moron and never ask any questions about life.

In fact start a business then hire people all tatted up, crack smokers, religious zealots, etc then tell us how it all works out.

lol yea, I never ask questions and that's exactly why I have a huge thread dedicated to movies that do ask questions. But I refuse to debate someone who is displaying what to me appear to be clear signs of retardation for anyone who claims to be as enlightened of an individual as you are. I'm actually reading this thread lol'ing at all of your posturing arguments and tantrum like logic that seems to be based on a personal emotional relationship to the issues being discussed rather than theories that I would consider worth considering as well thought out. But bro, that's just like my opinion. If you are so sure of yourself the just label me as being igborant, naive, whatever. I don't really care all that much about your clearly egocentric delusions of self importance. Just lol at you.

Then why don't you or him confirm it? You guys are making the negative claims. The burden of proof is on you.

You look foolish when you defend you side of the argument so vehemently (like the Adlerian fellow) yet can't provide a single shred of proof. On top of that you have sweeping generalizations of an entire group of people since you simply don't agree with tattooing.

My post was meant to be sarcastic and mirror the idiocy of the person I was arguing with. If you don't think that is a proper way to have a debate on an online forum, my apologies... I guess?

See? Why can those who don't personally like tattoos be more like this? This is reasonable.

Yeah, seriously, if this is such a well-researched topic, I'm sure you can provide links to studies or direct me to the page of the textbook you're using in "Psychology 101". I'll do part of the work for you, download the book and look at it without you having to screenshot it.

At this point in life on the internet, if you can't google topics it can be concluded that you would never read some study. And, of course psych research journals tend not to be accessible to people on the net for free. That's a crime, but I'm sure you know that.

In addition, this kind of stuff is common knowledge to me. I'm sure whatever you do in life is common knowledge to you and you aren't going to "prove" that tires on a car are made of rubber or that water is wet. It's just a waste of time and people will either believe you or not.

It seems to be a rule that the tat you get is actually the opposite of the type of person you really are. Tats are gotten based on anxiety. So, you're trying to advertise something about yourself that isn't true. You do not need to advertise things that are true.

For instance, a tall guy will likely never get a tat saying "I'm tall" because he knows it and so does everyone else.

So, signs of depression tats: Cheerful designs and cute things. You're trying to say "I'm happy" but if you were you wouldn't need to sell it like that.

Tough guys tats: They say that you're a coward or have lots of anxiety about being manly, and so on.

People who are actually tough are actually tough and don't think about it. People who know them know they're tough and so no tat is needed. Also, a truly mean person wouldn't want anyone knowing they are and wouldn't want to give it away.

In addition, this kind of stuff is common knowledge to me. I'm sure whatever you do in life is common knowledge to you and you aren't going to "prove" that tires on a car are made of rubber or that water is wet. It's just a waste of time and people will either believe you or not.
So basically you're backing out, got it.

In case you aren't, feel free to provide links, I have access to those journals. I'm in academia, so I can see when someone is bullshitting his way out of a debate like you are. Things I learned in my first year of college can be common knowledge to me, but I have no trouble linking it for those that don't know the stuff. You aren't, not because you don't want to waste time, but because you don't have anything to back your statements up. It took you more time to reply to all of those calling you out that it would for you to link it, if you actually had anything.

Good stuff.
Lmao at STILL avoiding my replies. I guess I would do the same if the same dude kept making look like a potato over and over due to my flawed, narrow worldview.

News flash brah: I'm not the only one making you look idiotic. You've been held down by the throat and had a train run on your azz by just about everyone in this thread.

Thanks for the giggles
